Hello everyone,
Thank you to Sheila, Ann and Mel for my cards, all so lovely and I will be keeping them to treasure. Can't buy such nice cards here any more, they used to be very pretty when I was young.
Mandy a belated happy birthday to Katie for yesterday. I have only just caught up with everything.
Frank my eyes are due to be checked next week. I hope to keep the frames as they are children's size. My face is too tiny for adult specs any more. The lenses will cost a pretty penny.
Mel you are having a s****y time of it. Hope they get on their bikes and get it sorted soon for you. Hope your elbow is improving. Would love to see a pic of you wreaths if you have time.
Jane and Pat would love to see squirrels running around here. They would be classified as pests, but I think they are so cute. Jane sorry to hear about your young friend, she was taken so quickly from her family. Pat that must have really hurt, take care and I hope it heals up soon.
David a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your wife. I hope you are settlling well into your new home.
Off to Sydney tomorrow to see the doctor, always a long tiring trip for both of us. More tests and scans I expect and probably more pills.
OH is out with daughter doing some Christmas shopping and getting a few things for her birthday.
Have a good day everyone, hope things move ahead for your porch Fiona.

Hi Everyone Evening Kim Just popped on to say hello & goodbye, before I meet my friend for coffee, Have ordered a taxi this morning to take me into town as the wind is wild and lashing down with rain. OH train from Carlise has been cancelled, so another fella from work who is coming this way will give him a lift home. PHEW!!
off to put on my boots, and coat, no point taking a brolly with me or I'd end up like MARY POPPINS and take off in this wind lol :-D

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Have emailed you Kim.
Horrible here this morning. Lashing wind and rain in it too. Right mucky weather.
I am going to try and get up the forest today and see if any fir branches have been blown down in this wind as I need some for my rings. Also need more holly berries. Tried to do two specials for a friend yesterday but with all the form filling in I only got one finished and it was too dark to go up the garden and cut more yellow greenery so have to do that today too.
Hope all aches and pains are not too bad today.
My elbow is much better after taking some Ibroprofen the last couple of days. Shall keep it up for a while and have asked doc for more. It is nice to have some handy if I need it.
David thankyou so much for the lovely Christmas Greeting and I am sure all of us wish you and Ellen a happy healthy Christmas too in your new home.

Morning all, You have all been busy lettle bees, haven't you ????
Mandy, When taking photo's of children, you are suppose to get the permission of all the parents of the children, in case they are in the photo's. THE LAW IS SO STUPID. While watching Lewis play football I took a few shots of him kicking the ball and running down the wing. A father approached me and said I hope you haven't got my child in that phot's. I said a few choice words to him.!!!! But DIL who works with children full time said "DAD" you shouldn't take photo's. They won't allow camera's in the school plays etc . it,might seem strange for me to say I LOVE YOU TOO. but i'm sure you know what I mean. Kindest regards to Ellen and you for the festive season and the New Year.
Looking at the News last night It seems Scotland has got a real bashing, with winds up to 90 mph. 50 round this way. Looking out it seems rain at any time. Stay safe Fiona, and be careful Mary Poppins !!!
Mel, I am sure you must be very artistic, doing all these wreaths for everyone. Pitty we are so far away.
Kim, I tried to get new lenses put into my existing frames they would have cost £75.00 more, because you don't get any discount..
David in passing, If you would like to receiive my "JOKES" and funnies, let me have your Email address. I can then include you.
Ros, has loads of presents on the dinning room table. wrapping them up. When she's finished I will attempt to wrap hers, I always make a pigs ear of it, not having full use of my right hand, Never seem to get the packages square, !!!!
I got the litter box in for old puss last night , put it near the door into the porch. HE USED IT. had a wee. First time he has ever used a litter tray. Must have been to cold to go out. Don't blame him. Not something I would want to do in the middle of the night, go outside !!!!

Afternoon everyone,
Blustery here and its now raining .
Thank you David for your kind wishes ,Merry Christmas to you and Ellen ,hope you have a lovely first Christmas in your new home .
Thank you Liz,Ann and Fiona for your cards ,getting quite a few now ,i have them all on the mantle piece .
Glad to hear your elbow is a little better Mel,keep taking the tablets !!
Frank, the school play was in the church and every one was clicking away with their camera's ,nobody said anything ,and it was the same on sports day with people taking photo's ,your right the law is stupid !!!!
Well this morning i decorated the Christmas tree ,as i went up the stairs to bring it down i thought it seemed really cold ......the bl**dy loft hatch was wide open !!!!!! when hubby closed it the other day after getting the decorations down it opened its self up ,we heard it drop down and he went up and closed it , well it must have dropped down again while we were at sons and been open all night ,when we went to bed i said to hubby it's really cold up here ,never gave it a thought to look up !!! Think we might have to put a little sliding bolt on it to keep it shut ,carn't have that keep dropping down ,losing heat up there !!!!
Better get the tea sorted .

Your mentioning a dental appointment reminds me Fiona,Iv,e to get the upper R back tooth pulled out, beyond repairing. It was supposed to be pulled out a week ago but that appt was cancelled as Dentist had a death in the family.
Ellen been taken off a pain killer (diclafenic) for her knees as her doctor told her it was affecting her blood pressure. Instead her Doctor is now prescribing Codeine and another tablet to keep her regular.Seems a bad combination to me.

It's still blowing a gale.I noticed a couple of branches off one of our trees.I just hope none come down and blow into the road :-S
Thanks Liz and Ann for your cards today.Frank I reckon that is Ann's card.If the envelope had tiny writing. What is she like ;-) ;-).Actually I did a daft thing myself today.I posted a friends card and then realised I hadn't put the number of the house.Frank it is on Barton Rd.You know how long that rd is :-S :-S.So not sure if that one will arrive.
Golly, you should hear the rain on the window. It's making Chester whine.,and now the Sky signal has gone :-| :-|
Fiona it must be really really bad for a.ll the schools to be closed.I imagine it is for Safety reasons.
Mandy a little bolt sounds a good idea on the loft hatch.I hate ours being open ,as there always seem to be flies that come out and get into the house.
Well all the furniture is in the right place now for Xmas.Just need a Tree now.Poor Chester hates any change. He gets all unsettled.
Mel any news on your men???.Mind you would they put scaffolding up in this weather. One of my B Brothers is a scaffolder on the oil rigs. Oh I think Chester needs out for a wee.

Been working away on the rings all day and have'nt done much else except put on the steak and kidney which is now cooked so I only have to do some cabbage and perhaps a bit of sweet potato and the dough boys.
Rang the rep at about 12pm and he said they were going to go through all the emails and then reply. Have'nt heard a thing from the firm today.
Jane the scaffolders came on Sunday afternoon and put that up!! :-S
Just finishing another ring which will be my 6th so far.
thanks Fiona, Mandy and Liz for your cards. I love the one with the postbox with Robby on top Mandy.

Evening All,
Heck, I've really lost the plot now then Frank!! lol I blame it on OH and his interruptions.......don't know if I'm coming or going half the time!!!!! At least I managed to address it ........and you can send it to someone else next year!!! Lol, lol :-D :-D :-D What's this about TINY WRITING?? :-| OH's makes mine look BIG! lol.
Glad PUSS had used the litter box, probably easier for him now.
Thanks for your card Liz......I've put it with the others.
My photo was taken when I was on a pony trekking holiday with a friend in Wales when I was aged 17 Jane. The owners, who lived in an old hunting lodge in woodland owned the 2 dogs, which were rescue dogs. One was a Pointer called Scout and the other a Collie.....can't remember the name of that one.......lovely dogs.
I thought about you as I was driving around in the wind and rain Fiona and thinking how much worse it must be where you are. Some kind of can blowing in the close woke me up at an ungodly hour this morning.
I was meeting up with 2 friends for a coffee next week, but we have had to rearrange for the new year as we can't find a day we can all make! :-S
Mandy, it was when I broke our loft door that we got a mouse in the bedroom!!!! It was making a home in a shoe inside a polythene bag....very cosy. :-D
Glad the tablets are helping Mel......you could put the heated up 'Snuggle Bunny' on it too. :-D :-D
