Thought I would pop in, now the dinner is over, and washed up.

Maureen, Up till he started going down hill, he was always feed on Whisk## the pouches, had a good variety, but since he's loosing his teeth and generally not well. I spoil him with whatever we have, He had pork tonight, all chopped up in little pieces. I will be lost when anything happens to him.

Mum and Dad always sent us out Sunday Afternoon. to Sunday School. Not that we went every week, if we did we got a Holy stamp. I think you could collect them in an album. We never had enouth to do that with. I think it was their TIME on Sunday. and didn't wany us kids around SAY NO MORE !!!
During the summer it would be down the cricket club, watching the matches, and drooling over the tea's in the pavillion, for the players.

Liz, I am sure you got a lot of pleasure from helping out with the old people. I was told by the District nurse, that I should take up that vocation, as I had nursed, My DAD, ROS'S MUM AND DAD. till they died with Cancer. and still have a lot of time for older people. (IF I CAN FIND ANY) Jane included :-D :-D :-D

RB you are bringing things back to my mind. I will tell the story of School plays and things another day.

chicken and an egg are lying in bed. The chicken is smoking a cigarette with a satisfied smile on its face and the egg is frowning and looking a bit pissed off. The egg mutters, to no-one in particular, "Well, I guess we answered THAT question!"

Hello everyone,

Sorry I can't go back over all the threads and remember anything. No trip to hospital, but after visit to the doctor next week, he may well put me there as a few nasty things are happening.

Just picked up on a few chats about accents. My father gave me a real time of it when I came back from England after 3 months. Apparently I had a strong West Country accent, rolling the arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr's chronically, lol.

Hope to put the Christmas tree up tomorrow and do some more cards. I dragging the chain here. I remember when I used to hope in my car and race around the shops getting food and presents at least a month before. How things have changed, so frustrating.

Will try to BBL to see how you all are. Frank I'm glad you enjoyed that unusual Greek ash try!!!!!!

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 2 Dec 2011 09:01

Sorry you have'nt been too good again. You take care now.Am sending you my love and wishes for a better week coming.

Well the sun is shining at the moment and there is no wind, the skies are blue....... and I have to clean the chickens out :-| They have made their run into a mud bath already and oh is talking about moving them again :-( One of the big girls kept getting out and oh called me yesterday to see her. She was out the run and was enjoying a dust bath right under our bedroom window where the soil was a bit drier. she had covered herself in dirt!! I picked her up and popped her back over the fence. We don't have to leccy on the fence at the moment. I then had to go in the run and move a big concrete block used to stand a water drinker on as I think this was how she was getting out, on the blockand over the fence ;-)

Morning Everyone

You have a clever girl there Mel :-D.I reckon she will be a bit miffed when you move that block :-S :-S

Kim,when I get together with my Sister we both find ourselves talking with a stronger Devon Accent. It's quite funny really. We sound like a couple of old farmers lol
I do hope you don't have to go to hospital. We will all keep everything crossed for you.

Thanks Shirl for the pics.Love Norm in his Santa Outfit. :-D.It's nice to have a pic with you all in .Which year was that taken in?

It's a lovely morning and we had a hard frost. The bird bath was frozen too.I think is the first time this winter.

Coffee time now BBL

Off to get my ears syringed, will be a relief to be able to hear properly again. After that, into Swindon to collect the car,(a nice little run around) it will be nice to be mobile again and NOT to have to rely on 'You know who' for EVERY journey!! (driving a Renault Master is NOT for me!!) Am feeling a bit nervous as I haven't driven for three months, so lets hope the Motorway isn't TOO hideous!!!

Fiona

Fiona Report 2 Dec 2011 10:55

Morning Everyone

Wishing you well Kim, take care,
we had frost this morning too so OH says when he left for work at 7.30am, It was all gone by the time I woke up again at 9, the suns out now

Sofia is going through a don't leave me Mamma stage at the moment, crying when daughter no 1 leaves her at playgroup but 10mins after she's fine, started doing it here when her mother goes to work on a afternoon, not easy to side track her but found the best way is to leave her alone , keeping an eye on her at the same time till she calms down doesn't want cuddles,
So I have been raking about in my old nursery work box for christmas activities to do, found a few cut outs of Christmas tree's to decorate and Christmas baubles and a glue on Santa to fix, also bought some paper chains to make that will keep her busy and stop the temper tantrums (WE HOPE ;-)

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 2 Dec 2011 11:16

You'll soon get the hang of it again Liz. it's just like riding a byke you never forget and a lot of it is muscle memory.

Hi Fiona, hope you get the little madam sorted soon!

Frank

Frank Report 2 Dec 2011 11:56

LIZ, WHAT DID YOU SAY !!!!! I havent had my ears done for Donkey years. When I first met Ros, I use to go every three months. Made enought wax to make a candle.!!! One time the "NURSE" syringed my ears with COLD WATER. sent me into a fit. Had to sit for an hour till I came back to normal. (If you can call me normal) Never went back. Since I have been useing Ear Plugs, haven't needed the Nurse. !!

Nice to see about Kim. please take care, we don't want you in hospital for Christmas

Mel, I know when I first had my "GIRLS" I only put up four foot high netting. They use to be on the lawn every morning, and there were no gaps anywhere. Then one morning I watched them. They took off like fighter planes, and landed up the top of the lawn. It did make me smile. I then increased the height of the netting, and clipped their wings !!!!

We certainly had a good frost last night, lawns, cars, and roofs covered. No wind this morning either, so dosen't appear so cold.

Fiona, Sofia will soon go through that stage. We had the same with Lewis, but once he sees she's not there they get on with things. Little Bs

Old farmers eh Jane, I thought you said you weren't OLD.. :-D :-D :-D

Shirl, Where did the children get their good looks from ???
