You managed to get your posting in Jane/Anne, before me, even thought I started before you. Shows how slow I am. But they told me that years ago. !!!!

If it was DIL clearing out the cupboards perhaps thats in itself is a good sign as they say you get these urges to get things done just before a birth. I laid turf the day before I had mine!!!

Oh Anne, they aren't thinking of your BP either are they. Rest means rest doesn't it, not clearing cupboards.

Jane the service I just had done was it's second and was just oil and filter change and brake fluid change, but they might have had to do more checks. That was £243. I think everyone is putting their prices up for everything!! What made me smile was that they pre-booked it in for the next service in 12 months time without even asking!! Never done that before.

OH's tooth is fine now he says and he's glad its done.

Mandy the power came back on about midnight so it was off about 3 hours. It was so nice to be able to flick a switch on again. Our poor ancesters never had these luxuries like electric......aren't we lucky. The flickering candle got on my nerves after a bit......imagine trying to sew your cross stitch. lol

Oh we are on the move again, off to the cinema with the birthday boy now. lol

I have been a bit grumpy today.I think I am getting a bit het up about my eye appointment on Tuesday.I just have a gut feeling that there is a problem,as over the last 2 years I have had some odd symptoms and it all seems to add up.I will be a big brave girl .FRANK no comment on the Big please lolol

6.00pm

Just poped in to say I have been talking to our Shirl. for the past 3/4 hour. Had a good chat about anything and everything. She hasn't received my DVDs yet but could be any time now. She's looking forward to watching them.

Her weather does seem to be going on and on. She sales it's turned to rain now.!!!!! Everywhere is sodden and the trees are all bare.

Jane, Would I say anything about you ????? YES. I have noticed that my sight is starting to get double vision again. While watching the football on the small tele. in the conservatory, there were more players on the pitch than there should have been !!!! It might be the size of the screen that's not helping.

Anne Report 10 Mar 2011 18:13

Well DIL sent home again as BP settled and her blood tests were clear.
She has to see midwife again in the morning and, if there is a problem, consultant will see her then so we have been stood down.
I have had a large glass of red wine and am now slumped in the chair.
I did watch an episode of Lark Rise this afternoon as I needed something calming!!
The wind has now dropped but it is very cold

Wish I lknew that Frank had the cd's for Larkrise as I sent off for them. We don't have a WHSm*ths or a Te*co near to pick them up from. I think it's a bit of a cheek really that those who live in the country have to pay when other get them for nothing!

Moan over......................................................

Anne good news that her blood pressure is down and all settled again for the moment. enjoy your red, it's my tipple too.

Just going to shut the chickens in now and think about tea!

Evening to those who are still up. I bet Jane has gone up the wooden hill to Bedfordshire. Reading her book. Mines on charge at the moment, don't want it to run out.

Less of it from you Mandy, I may be old but not deaf. I have to put ear plugs in at night to shut out any noise, or I can't sleep. !!! That wind certainly blew today, I thought the windows were coming in.

Mel, We missed episodes 3/4 at Tesc#s my neighbour let Ros have the vouchers and she sent off for it. If I had know you wanted them I could have picked more up when we were in Tesc#s I see they are on Ebay. Some of them at £1.49 each plus £1.00 postage. Saucy Bugge#s. My Son said people make a living getting all these free CDs from the papers and selling them on. Tesc# puts them in a box on the paper counter, so you can pick up as many as you like.

Tesc# have a great offer on Finis# Automatic thingey, They are two refills for the price of one. Ros and Jan bought half dozen each. MORE EXPENCE !!!!

Liz, where are you, Hows Ian ???? Hope your mind is settled on the house front.

I think Liz was having problems with BT the other day ,she said they had over charged them and that she was on another package and being charged land line rates , so i expect its still being sorted out .

Hope Sheila's ok , she's been quiet again .

Will say night night now see you tomorrow .

Hi I'm Jayne
I remember being really small and seeing rain hit the ground so hard that it bounced back up. I got really excited and told mommy that it was raining upside down. :)

Morning All and Welcome Jayne,

Thats a great memory Jayne. It's funny the things that seem right to you when you are small, is'nt it? Upside down rain, yes thats great!!

It rained here in the night but not a lot. Bright again now with some sunshine.

Have to go out a bit later this morning to change the trousers I bought for OH.

Morning Daffodils,

Hope you all sleept well,

Welcome Jayne, Nice to see a new name pop up.

Looks nice out there this morning but still cold, not decided if I will or not do the digging.!!!!

We are still in dressing gowns. Ros doing her jigsaw and me browseing the web, looking for cooking ideas for tenderloin of pork.

Jayne as a small child I would love to take off all my cloths and stand in the garden, in a summer shower, after a hot day. !!!! Would like to do it now, but I don't think it would go down very well lol lol I remember a few years ago ,(about twenty) I came home from work, in a car showroom, where the temp.went up to over 85 degrees. got into the back garden which was huge, and not overlooked. I took of all my cloths, and sat on the lawn. Suddenly the back gate opened and in walked a friend. The nearest thing to my was an Elephant plant, I grabed a leaf, and saved my blushes.

Sent an Email to Liz last night. Haven't looked yet if there is a reply

Morning Mel and all,and Hi to Jayne with a Y .I am plain Jane lol
Are you in Canada or USA or some far off country? That is a lovely memory.I used to love watching the rain run down the windows and try and follow one raindrop all the way to the bottom.

It is a lovely morning here.Lots of sun (at the moment) I think

it is due to get cloudy later. The wind has dropped a fair bit but still breezy. This is the kind of day I would have gone down to the beach and along the cliff to feel that lovely Sea Breeze.Bracing!.Oh well I will just have to imagine it now,Boo Hoo.
