Ann, do you think there's a problem with the fuse for the headlamp bulb ? they shouldn't keep going like that should they .

Hope everyone keeps warm with this freezing weather ....i bought a hot water bottle today ....just in case the electric goes off ,we have one of those little portable gas stoves so at least we could have hot water for a drink.

I am now signing off and going to watch Winter watch and father Brown.

The rain has washed all th esnow away but the bits that fell off the cars bonnets. Thats till on the ground in a strip in front of both cars.

Oh dear i see poor Chester has a little frost bite :-0 :-S

I know Jane.....he says he's drip feeding the garage money!! I said 'it's better than it keep breaking down.' The garage renewed the headlamp a while ago but that didn't cure it. They didn't charge him for the last couple of bulbs. It is in for service on Monday, so maybe they will try some other ideas.

It's hard to imagine heat like Kim has when it is freezing here. I prefer it cold than that hot!

Off to bed now, was awake till 4.00am this morning. I thought the increased dose for my thyroid was making me sleep better at first, but they tested it again last week and it was lower than before they increased the dose! That is probably why I'm still having poor sleep. They want to do another test in May before they consider increasing the dose again.Sleep tight everyone......xx

It might be that he had a little drip on the end and it froze while he was out ,in this cold it wouldn't take long . :-S

Alan has been tryng to load a video on there of Mocha in the snow..Alan made snowballs and mocha was chasing them ...I will get alan to upload some photos on my lap top then I can forward some.

Mandy, I think they did look at the fuses a long time ago when it started happening. Still, it could be a fuse that's gone dodgy since then. I'll get OH to ask them to look at the fusebox as well when he takes it in. :-)

Yes Pat, it would be lovely to see pics of Mocha in the snow.

Cloudy and dull here today but it did snow a bit last night. There is nothing on the road or grass but a sprinkling on the cars.

Hope it's cooled down a bit for you Kim, i did see on the news yesterday about the heat , they showed people running through some jets of water trying to keep cool.
Poor animals must be suffering too, how are the cats coping in the heat with their thick furry coats !!

Sky looks a bit grey here ,i think we should have just a few flurry's today and a bit more tomorrow afternoon.

Think we might get the scrabble board out this afternoon or the cards ,getting a bit bored now with not being able to get out and about .

Jake was a little better yesterday ,he has been poorly just laying about poor little boy ,the others have built a snowman and woman ,but he wasn't interested in going out at all.
DIL didn't want to waste any veg on the snowman so they used stones for his eyes and a peg for his nose !! veg is getting in short supply in the super markets,shelves all empty!!

Kim I hope the party was a huge success and that the temperature stayed down a bit for you all.

Fiona we had a bit more snow in the night .I expect we may have some flurries today .No walks again for Chester.Chris walked up to the garage to get a paper.He looked like he was ready to go up Everest lol with his walking pole ,back pack etc.

Pat I hope we can see Mocha playing snowballs :-D :-D

I am going to make some Lamb and Mint Pinwheels and Beef and Herb ones this morning .So that will be tonights dinner :-D

I have just been round and given the big girls some more straw in their house and nest boxes. It is so wet round there and squishy mud but it is sooooooooooooooooooo cold my fingers nearly fell off. I don't think my car will atart this morning so may not go up the shop. Windscreen still covered in snow.

We had a nit of fine snow last night. Outside on the cars is ice and I think it is the sleight breeze we have that is causeing it. It is very icy.. :-(

Jane, when we joined the A 14 from Northampton, there was hardly any snow, that's why I mentioned it. I AM NOT A LIAR !!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D We certainly ran into it the otherside of Corby.

I have about "FOUR INCHES THIS MORNING" Have taken a couple of photo's will try send them on later.

The forcast isn't good for the next few days. We could get another 2 inches over the weekend.

Poor old Chris. I know what you mean about London Road/Barton Hill. It has always been a Bugg## in bad weather..

Mel, do you think it's a sign that we might get rain, and wash this lot away. We don't want rain, and then it to freeze.

We had a tiny amount of blue sky this morning but it is just light grey all over now.

Heating has just gone off so I think I shall turn it back on again right away. Usually leave it till after lunch.

Now what am I going to get for lunch????????? hmm have to have a think.

Just finished lunch and OH says he will take me up to Dun*elm , where on the Webb I saw they has some dried pussy willow stalks , I want them for my vase on the dining room table, I bet that's not all I come home with,
