That's so funny Liz, my son, when little loved football and when he got a new pair of football boots he would take them to bed with him, even after he'd played in them if I'd let him :-0 If you do go on the puzzle site try IQ.

Had the weirdest dream last night. While waiting for the dentist I was sharing a bed with a girl friend I had in the seventies. This while sharing a bed with my wife. Got up at 4.30 for bathroom. Couldn't get back to sleep. Wonder what brought that on?

I will Maureen, tomorrow and report back!!! OH gone off out to feed Merlin, he didn't seem to know quite what to make of the snow, and the first thing he did (this morning) was to roll, shoot up and down the paddock a couple of times kicking and snorting, and then calmly get on with his hay! Millie also rang about and rolled!! I wonder what Freud would make of your dream David?!!!!

Liz I haven't seen any of the horses out in the field today.Mind you they could have been but I just couldn't spot them through the snow. I do hope Chris gets home ok .There is a very steep hill to get up(Frank its Barton Hill) So glad he isn't working tomorrow. That will be the first saturday in 7 weeks that he will be off. :-S :-S :-S.He should have done something about it. I hope it isn't snowing like this next Weekend as it is Chris's surprise family meal out.
Oh I say David that's an interesting dream ;-)....I have lots a bit like that lol.But like you say where on earth do they come from???
It is still snowing, but has eased off a lot for now.I don't know what the forecast is for tomorrow.I think I saw Sunday could be bad again here.
I daren't start cooking for Chris and me yet until I know that he is going to get here.I have just popped a Chicken and Chorizo pie in for James with Mushrooms and baby carrots (in the oven).I made one of my Baking Tray Tarts earlier. The one with Peppers,Courgette,Mushroom and Pancetta.James has already had a couple of slices.I think the rest will be nice warmed up for lunch tomorrow.
I'm just seeing all the chaos caused by snow on the News......Poor people who have no electricity in Wales :-S :-S..I can't moan.Even though there is a lot of snow we have got away lightly so far. I bet all the children will be looking forward to a weekend of fun sledging, snowballing and making snowmen :-D :-D
Mel how many years ago was it we made our Snowmen?? 3? 4?. I don't think I will be making one this time.If Hannah was here she would be out there making one lolol

In a dream I had last week I wasanxiously trying to give the Pope some documents.

Supper over and done with and the snow has stopped!! David what on earth is going on in your subconcience?!!!! heaven only knows what else you've got in there!!! Jane, I hope that Chris has made it home safely, it's always a worry when family are out and about this sort of weather. L had to take P to Reading today and I was glad when she rang to say tht they were home safely. Tomorrow we shall walk to the village to get the paper, milk and rolls - I don't want to take the car till this weather clears. Merlin is out in all weathers, he is a native pony (Exmoor) and well geared for the most extreme conditions; mind you we do bring him in at night in the winter, although he would be more than capable of staying out - but we feel sorry for him!!

David, that was wishful thinking LOL. I have some really whacky dreams too, strangely, I'm always losing things in my dreams or getting lost. Sounds familiar to any of you?
Jane, loved you little friend, the Robin. We are getting two Robins who flit in and out to feed and there is also a Dunnock who comes calling too. I'm also worried that you haven't seen the horses. Hope they haven't ended up in T*sco's burgers!!!
Maureen, as I've just said, we get other birds, but the Blackbird was the only one I was able to get a snapshot of today. You have to be quick to catch the Robin, he's in and out like a shot.

Evening All,
It's been snowing here since this morning. OH cleaned my car off for me first thing and by the time beading class was finished it was covered in snow again. :-S The carpark at the place where we go is on a slope and had not been gritted and walking across it was dicey (sorry, couldn't resist!).
Yes, we had the earthquake right near where the class teacher lives. It woke her up, rumbles and windows rattling. Markfield where she lives is built on granite and she thought it must have felt more through the rock than through soil. I remember hearing a rumble and some slight vibration before it was light, but just assumed it was a big lorry on the main road which it may have been.
Liz, I love that your grandson slept with his hat on ready for the snow! He must have been so looking forward to it, bless him!
OH has another headlamp bulb gone.....getting fed up with it now......so we went to lunch in my car. We go to what I remember as a teenager being a derelict old manor surrounded by trees. Now it is a hotel and golf complex belonging to the Great W*stern chain. The winding, hilly narrow lane to it has drops into ditches each side and there are no kerbs, so it is not a good road in this weather. Snow doesn't usually phase me much, but my current car is the worst I've had for slithering about on ice and snow!! :-S I suppose it is because it is very light and has wide tyres so not much weight pressure to give a good grip. The lane was covered in packed down snow so I didn't go above 30mph down there today. I think OH was going to say something about my speed (slow), then the car did a slight wiggle and he never said a word !! lol. I think he realised he was nearest to the ditch. :-0 :-0
After lunch we went to the retail park down the road to look for short wellies for me but the only ones I found that were suitable didn't have my size. :-S But, in the sports store that was recently taken over I found some walking boots (been needing new ones for ages) that were a great fit , but they couldn't find the other foot and think they must have sold and 'odd' pair to someone!! They weren't having any more in (just my luck) so I had another look at the others. I found a black pair, also half price, that were comfy except that they were just a bit high at the back of the ankle and I thought they might catch and cause a sore bit. Well, the young man trotted off and got me some gel heel supports that raise your heel about a quarter of an inch and it made all the difference and are much nicer to walk on too!! :-D I never realised they made them for walking boots and they were half price too, so I am a happy bunny now. :-D
OH was going to watch a Leicester match on the telly tonight, but it was late starting because of gridlock in the city......2 hours to go 2 miles and the team couldn't get there in time! What is it going to be like on the roads after a few more days of it??
Jane, your pic of the Robin is lovely, just like a christmas card. Shame you didn't get one of the Long tailed tits Mel, I love them.

Ann I can't believe another bulb has gone in OH's car...There has to be a problem there somewhere :-S As for slipping and sliding in a car when you are driving ..it is so scary.Good job OH didn't say anything Ann otherwise you might just have tipped him in that ditch :-D :-D
We have just finished dinner!!!! It is so late :-S.I'm now watching a programme on Italy....I just love Italy.
