Well we went shopping. Ros bough a new pair of trousers, slippers, and two nightdress's. We then went to Asd# (NOT AGAIN) the space between the ailses were so tight, you had a job to pass anybody. The checkout was so small, you could only get two/three items in the trough before it was full. The area where it is is not good, people walking up and down FART### and burping, children running around and screaming. Dogs tied up outside barking their heads off. I'm not a snob, but there is a limit, to what I will put up with, and that's just too much.
Got both the lawns cut, potato's will have to wait till tomorrow.
Beef in onions and baked potato's tonight. Runners, carrots, brussels and BROARD BEANS (JANE)!!!
Turning cloudy now, with a bit of a breeze.
Might call in later.

I was doing a level 2 IT course online with vision2learn It was far more complicated with less help than I would have wished. Some one from their end was getting into my PC to do things to the java settings etc. I began to lose control of the use of my PC to the point I got rid of it and bought another off ebay. The replacement didn't recognise their site(it was a linux ombertu OS) So I got rid of the replacement and bought another from ebay.
Today I have received an e-mail from vision2learn saying I haven't signed in for so long etc To do so and catch up or be withdrawn from the couse and have to pay a two hundred and fifty two pound withdrawl fee !!
What would YOU do?

I went to Tesc* this evening as soon as James got home.Have made sure I have all enough essentials for the next few days.It is going to take me a bit of getting used to not having my car in the day.I need to plan ahead I think.I'm not good at planning ahead lol
Still no news from our Sheila.I wonder where she has got to??.It's a bit worrying now :-S

Hi Everyone,
Had a busy few days! OH persuaded me to go with him on Saturday when he went to watch a match with Vauxhall Motors. He dropped me at Shire Oaks and I got some nice black loafers and a couple of tops from the M*S outlet. Would you believe it, a quarter of an hour into the homeward journey I got tummy ache and only just made it to the services......'trots'........just what you don't need on a long journey!!!!! :-0 Very luckily I was ok then, but was very glad to get home, especially after a roadworks holdup!!! :-D
OH has been for his MRI scans and xrays today. He said the noise was so loud he had a headache after. He said the scanner was just above his eyes and he hates confined spaces but couldn't bear the thought of having to go through it again so just gritted his teeth! It cost him £4 in the carpark.......I must say I don't agree with charges connected with the sick and their visitors.
I hope your BIL's operation can go ahead tomorrow Mandy. He's had so much trouble and had to wait so long he must just want it done now so his knee can heal.
Mel, that little Owl was lovely. It was a good job your OH spotted it before it damaged itself.
Jane I think most of us have these brick walls with some rellies. There are umpteen reasons why she could be missing and Mel and Mandy have mentioned some. I have found age on death certs to be wrong by a few years. She might also have used a 'middle' name, but her parents may have put her first name down on the censuses. Also the enumerator may have spelt the surname wrong eg put 'Money, Mainy, Many, Mesney, something like that. Do you have any more info eg.
What kind of work did she do when younger? Did she have other children besides your mother........what are their details? Have you traced Alfred Coles in those earlier censuses........where was he living in 1911?
I'm glad Fitz's wife says the 'bean' dish is ok to freeze as I have a pot in the freezer I haven't tried defrosting yet. I have loads more beans to use as well. How is his mum now and has he had his scan yet?
OH's front tyres both seem to keep losing air since he had new ones fitted. They put another new valve on one the other week, but they are both going down now. :-S
Tis our wedding anniversary tomorrow.........not sure if we will be out for a meal as OH has a team meeting in the morning. I have got us a small box of choccies for later! :-D Aren't the cards for men awful!!!! Same for birthdays too!! They have a much easier job getting cards for us I think.
I have planted up my wall pots with some Violas and variegated Aubretia today so they are back on the wall now. Also did the shopping while OH was at the hospital. Yikes, I didn't get much but it came to £95.
David I would reply to their email and ask them to allow you more time considering the problems you have had. Would they do that had you been ill I wonder.......not acceptable really?
Many thanks for all the emails, always good to have a chuckle to start the day!! lol.
Think I will have an early night and be off to bed now to watch some recorded programmes. Night, night.

Ann,I know that noise is terrible in the MRI scanner.Even with big head phones on it was like a Jack Hammer :-S and so claustaphobic :-S.I hope his headache has gone now. Fitz has his tomorrow at 12.30.I know he is getting himself in a bit of a stew about it. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he drops in here after.Better put a bottle in the fridge as no doubt he will be needing a little refreshment lol
Ann I have no info at all on Lottie. She is just a real mystery. It's a pity as I know nothing on Mum's Maternal side.As Mel and Mandy says I must get her marriage cert.If I get stuck (you know how useless I am lol)I will be calling for your assistance :-D :-D.I know on the marriage record somewhere it has the name Money but it is definitely Maney. In her Autograph book that I have the name in the front is Lottie Maney.
Ann I wondered if this might give you an idea .My friend just down the road has just set up a mini Photo Gallery at her home of photos she has taken .She sets up a little board out the front and has had several people driving past stop and pop in.She has sold 6 so far.I was thinking of all the fabulous photos you have taken.

Morning all,
Just getting on here quickly as we are in the middle of a storm. Had one last night too and it raged for about 3 hours with heavy rain. I thought we might lose the power.
A busy week for me, hope I am up to it. Son is celebrating his 22nd birthday tomorrow; it has come around so quickly. We have bought him a few gifts, but he has picked out a new cricket bat for the coming season. I didn't realise he had outgrown the current bat. Tomorrow night we are going for tea to the Wallarah Bay Club about 1/2 hour from here. Ethan is coming with us, so that will keep Miranda happy.
Also a trip to Sydney on Thursday to my doctor, so doubling up.
We have had riots in Sydney on the weekend over a US generated You**be film. We had nearly a thousand M*slims takes to the main CBD and attack our police and smashed police cars, all because of something someone in another country put out into the public domain. Nothing to do with us. These radical idiots are planning to do it all again next weekend. Children were holding signs asking for certain people to be beheaded, can you believe it?? It is frightening stuff. I wish they could be deported; unfortunately most are born here. (Shaking my head).
I had better get off as the storm is getting worse and I don't want to lose my post. Have a happy day everyone. Cheers from me. 6.06 pm AEST
Oh OH has bought a few plumbing bits and pieces to install the taps. Hope he's up to the job as we had a plumber do the work when we refurbished our bathrooms about 10 years ago. ;0(

Morning/Evening All,
Lovely and sunny again. Window cleaners have just been, the washer is on and tomatoes and onions are simmering away for the 'bean' dish! :-D Now I need to go and finish that washing of a few chippings. We got some bigger size ones on Sunday to put over the pebble pool......some of the smaller ones would have gone through the holes I think. OH was away to his clerks meeting bright and early after we opened our cards and we have arranged to meet at a garden centre for a jacket potato after his meeting finishes......no expense spared eh!! :-D Me, I like the simple things at times and today I'm not very hungry. lol We'll be off to the favourite carvery tomorrow so it's as well to ease off a bit foodwise today. I think we might call in the Crazy Golf on the way back too......do something different and spontaneous. We've only been to it once before and it is a rather good one on two levels so you cross bridges over the top of part of it.
I might have a look for Lottie too later on, but if Mel and Mandy haven't found her there isn't much hope. :-S Yes, let me know if you need me to help with getting the marriage cert. That IS a good idea that lady had with the photos. I don't think it would work here though with living in a cul de sac......not much passing traffic. I have seen photo exhibitions advertised in the paper though and have seen one or two, so I might pop along to a few more and find a bit more out about them. I think there are some sites on the internet where you can sell photos too, but I haven't really looked into it before.
Hope Fitz's scan goes well and he isn't 'deaf' after it. I suppose his will take quite a while as it will cover more of the body. The chilling bottle in the fridge will be the EXACT thing for him afterwards I think!! lol :-D
Hope you enjoy your outings Kim. I agree it is very frightening what is happening with riots etc. I wonder how many years it will be before we will all be living under oppression from these groups. Sometimes I am quite glad I amd not 'young', yet when I was 'young I couldn't see why people would ever say that.
Ohh.....better go and finish of my jobs!!

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Bright morning so far and the washing machine is on.
Kim I do hope your oh gets the taps on ok for you. It will be mush better when he has done it.
Happy birthday to Ethan and may he have many more good ones.
Happy Aniversary to Ann and Gordon I hope you enjoy your day and both have nice surprises. xx
Good luck with the minty mushrooms Jane I am sure you will like them as much as we do. :-D
DAvid I don't know what to say about your trouble with the IT course. Sorry you are having problems with them.
Must clean the bathroom today as I keep getting spiders webs in there and with the autumn just around the corner the daddy longlegs keep getting in there if the window is left open and ion the morning I find them all stuck in the webs or still clinging to the walls. I am talking about at least 6 at a time. They fly into your head and buzz in your ears. Blasted annoying. :-|

Ann have I missed something? Is it your anniversary?.If so CONGRATULATIONS to you both <3
Fitz should be in the scanner now if his his appointment is on time.I think he will be in it for a fair old while :-S.Then after that he has to go for a chat with staff on the ward his Mother is in.He thinks it is to discuss resuss if it should come to that and also her care in the future.I think he will be gagging for a drink by the time he gets here lol
Kim I can't believe it is a year since Joels 21st :-0 :-0.I hope you all have a lovely time and that he has a smashing birthday. I hope your gales has passed now.You seem to get a fair few there don't you. How disgraceful ,those demonstrations and attacking the police too Shame on them all :-S :-S :-S
I don't think I will get around to the Minty Mushrooms after all today Mel.I seem bogged down with washing and Ironing :-S.It looks like it could rain any moment so I need to get the things off the line as they are just about dry now.

David, I'd tell the organisers of your IT course a) about the problems you've encountered, and b) As for paying them any money! I DON'T think so! in other words 'shove it'!! If it was advertised as free that that is exactly what it means. I can't imagine that they will try to sue you! and if they threaten you with that then let them get on with it!! They are clearly using bully boy tactics, and for what it's worth I'd ignore it! Having trouble re-ordering pills on line Grrrr, so shall have to go to the surgery this p.m and sort it out! Have got to go to the vet for repeat prescription for Millies poorly eye, so thats this afternoon taken care of! Mel, I've managed to sort out my Grandfather's time in the trenches in WW1. It's made for interesting reading, so that's another family member 'sorted out'!!! Yes Kim, these riots are very worrying; I heard Tony B talking about it on the radio the other morning, he was very interesting and thought provoking! My cousin's son is joining the Australian Army next year when he leaves school, hopefully we shall be out of Afghanistan by the time he finishes his training. time for lunch and then off out!!

Sorry to hear about your DIL's father Pat , did you mentioned a while ago that he was poorly ? or did i get that wrong ?
Been to As*a this morning ,won't tell you how much we spent :-S although i did get some clothes ready for sons birthday so that bumped it up a bit , also went to get some cross stitching Aida from the sewing shop , i could have spent ages in there but hubby came with me and you know what men are like when shopping !!! He was more interested in where the coffee shop was !! There are some lovely little shops near the sewing shop all behind a big Garden Centre ,there's a huge Kitchen ware shop ,i went in there to have a look to see if i could find some clear plastic drinking cups to make a Christmas decoration, they didn't have any , the ones i need are short bodied ones ,all i can find are to long .
Time for a cuppa . BBL

Have just been making a few alterations to my tree, well, trying to! I don't know about you guys, but I find the new tree just awful, its so SLOW, unclear and just a frustrating pain to use to the point that I feel I don't want to!!! I much prefered the old one and have written and told 'Genes' exactly that! Millie's ointment was £10 for a tiny tube!! The Surgery now has a new login in policy on line, so we all have our own user name and login number! OH has to go and get his as I wasn't allowed to bring it home apparently it is private etc. I pointed out that we had been married for 49 years, and I had been ordering both sets of pills for the last 10 and felt this seemed a bit excessive! but no, he has to go and get his login details personally, and his pills and mine are now ordered on two separate logins instead of patient 1 and patient 2! well, there you go, I guess this is progress! Had a lovely chat with L this am - she's indignant about School Uniform, and spent over an hour telling me all about it! Off to get supper,Millie's chasing daddy longlegs, keeps her occupied!

Pat ,I'm sorry for your Son and DIL.It is good that they managed to get here in time.I suppose the one good thing is that living in Paris it is quick and easy to get back to England in a hurry. Fitz did drop in eventually this afternoon. After his scan ,meeting about his Mother and then an emergency visit to the garage with his car.His car has been causing problems for a while now and they just don't seem to be able to get to the bottom of it :-S
Tomorrow ,someone is coming to check out all the work that needs to be done and start booking work in.That is in the morning and then the afternoon the Gasman. I need to make sure all recycling bins are ready to go out now.I'd like to get that done before Chris is home so better go and get it sorted......Oh I see his car just pulling in the drive !!!

Evening all,
I won't go through everything for this morning, I can't remember what I said :-| :-| :-| :-| It must be my age. No comment Jane. !!
Dug the rest of the potatos this morning. The ground was as hard as concrete. Had a real job. I think I left a lot in the ground. I am thinking, will I be able to keep it up next year. !!! I seem to be getting more and more out of breath, when I exert myself. I did the lawns yesterday afternoon, and had to sit for the rest of the day. I am also getting pains under my ribs, on the left side. I think it might be indigestion. I am seeing the doctor 1st October (first available appointment) till then I will rely on Gavist##., and try to relax more.
We had F & C tonight. from the van. I also had a cream cake, over from Ros's AGM for the tapestry this afternoon. She took cream cakes for all the girls. for her birthday tomorrow. September is a very busy month for us with birthdays. I think there is about 10. A lot of women got a good present for Christmas over the years !!! SAY NO MORE.
Going to watch a bit of Football, see you tomorrow.
