Hello to you too, Linda.

Yes, I have Firefox as well. Maybe that's where the spellcheck comes from.

OH has been having a huge tidy out of the garage this week Pam, so now can't find anything

Amanda, how is little Bella getting on, we haven't had an update

Tecwyn Report 26 Oct 2010 21:03

Linda I can't say that I've ever had my forehead scratched, or my ears stroked - we're British you know, and don't go in for that sort of thing lol.

Pam, I can fully understand why you appreciate living where you do, it looks and sounds wonderful. Snakes, crocs, and bugs being minor hazzards. Don't know that I could cope with the heat now though.

Good morning to you Pam and Sue ,

Pam , I like the sound of your little frog , living as close to nature as you seem to do must have it's wondrous moments as well as the frightful ones , frogs being one of the little wonders : )

Sue , I'm pleased to know you have a splendid morning in your part of the world . You've waited long enough for you Springtime to start proper .

I'm not sure how long I would have to wait for the hospital to remove the tooth ( if it comes to it ) my brother had to have two wisdom teeth removed this year at the hospital , I don't think he had to wait awfully long and his weren't hurting .

My spell-check is on my Google tools bar , if I didn't have it I would probably never communicate as my spelling is atrocious ....lol

Linda ......baby Bella is getting on fine . She is back to her birth weight today , she is very laid back indeed . Every time her parents bring her round she is tightly swaddled in her blanket and looks like she is in a " papoose " .....lol , when I unwrap her she stretches in a most appealing way .
I've only seen her having a couple of peeps at the world so far , she likes sleeping it seems ....lol

I am sure that she will start to wake up soon Amanda, her weight gain is reassuring as well.
Eve is not so little any more, she has a big fat tummy lol. Her weight is following the 25th percentile on the chart. It is all so technical these days

Good Morning Sue,
Sounds like you had a lovely day - does you good to get out a bit after winter doesn't it.

I miss spellcheck on GR. I was always good at spelling, it seemed to come easy to me, but lately I find lots of words a challenge, but as I can't be bothered checking the dictionary I just hope people will understand what I mean and excuse the odd gaffe.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 26 Oct 2010 21:23

My problem isn't so much the spelling Tec, it is the typing mistakes, I end up running words together, so I have to go back to put the spaces in. I often have i instead of I because I haven't held the shift key down correctly. Or I end up with the letters jumbled, I often type hte for example instead of the

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 26 Oct 2010 21:28

Linda , the big fat tummy is enough to know that Eve is thriving , I don't understand all the technical jabber either....lol

Tec , before I had the spell check I used a dictionary and a magnifying glass .....lol ......I love the English language and the written word but my spelling has always been a stumbling block ( in my eyes anyway ) , oddly enough , it doesn't bother me if other people make mistakes .

I sometimes wonder how we managed to bring up our children as we didn't have the internet to guide us every minute of the say

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 26 Oct 2010 21:33

l do things like that Linda if trying to type too quickly.
I am having trouble with the cursor on GR, nowhere else, if I don't watch carefully, the cursor jumps to the lines above or back, which means I have to erase and retype - most annoying.

Sorry for the silence for a while. Just had to put the spoiled baby bird outside with its friends. Then they were yelling at me because a couple of them were out of food; big eaters those lot.
Then the Indian Ringneck babies were hollering in the nesting box so I got some apple and carrot for the parents to eat and then feed to the babies. Plus refreshed their seed.

Am out of small parrot food now so that means a one hour drive to Atherton to get another bag. That's OK. I'll go visit my friends whilst I'm there and cadge a cuppa.

So now I'm back.

Never a dull moment around here.

I have always been good at spelling but my grammar isn't always so good. We all seem to know what we're on about.

I wonder at times if all this charting and technical jargon worries parents. I seem to remember instinctively knowing if our babies were thriving and doing all they are supposed to do. When we realised that Drew's speech wasn't coming along his mum took him to the doctors and then followed endless assessments with people so keen to put labels on him.

Pam - I've just hung out some washing and have been listening to some rainbow lorikeets tweeting in the tree next door. Our bottlebrush's are in bloom so the tree is full of nectar eaters. They make a row but I love seeing them fluttering in the trees.

Pamela Report 26 Oct 2010 21:51

Yes, Sue, I tend to 'sneak' in and out during the mornings. lol

Tec, I love the heat up here. Like, right now, it's 6.44am and 21c. Do you have centigrade there or are you still fahrenheit? In F it's 70. Now for me that's chilly. Not cold but the breeze coming through the window is chilly to me. But that's probably my natural air conditioner at work. It's brilliant. Costs me nothing to run. It's called Rainforest. Cane field works well too but they're down the mountain in Cairns and are dying out because of population growth. So sad. Where there were cane fields there are now housing developments in many.

There I go, blathering on again. Must come from living alone.

It must be nice to have all those pretty birds, ours tend to be boring.
Although we do have a resident Robin, complete with a red breast. I have a birdbath on the ground just outside the French doors, so we can sit in the lounge and watch the birds. yesterday the poor things were confused because the water was frozen solid all day, it was like their own little skating rink. The Robin spent ages having a bath late this afternoon. You would think they would get cold because they are warm blooded. I wouldn't have a bath outside in winter.
I had better clarify that, I wouldn't have a bath outside in summer either, but you know what I mean

Pamela

Pamela Report 26 Oct 2010 21:53

Yes, Sue. Can be noisy little critters hence I can't ignore them when they're yelling. But they are fun and a joy to watch when they're playing. Very social critters, too. Don't like being alone.

We are in Centigrade now Pam. How can you be chilly at 21 degrees? That is a summers day here
