Rita Report 2 Dec 2009 19:51

Hi Girls
not been on today I have been rushing everywhere I took some cards to the post ofice that have to go the USA and some to Italy and Canada, and the book I have written out of my Dads Childhood memories I finally finished them and there were 44 pages of typing and 8 pages of his family photo's including the school and the class photos. I posted them off to my son Mike as he is interested in things like that it cost me £2. to post I also did some washing and did my weeks shopping came back and vacumed the rooms. answered some email . did my dinner and the day had gone
I just had a phone call from my sister in Law from Inverbrie in Scotland to tell me my father in Law died yesterday Hammie was taken ill and rushed into the hospital in Dundee where he died. she said he was saying the day before I bet Rita writing my card out with her letter she always puts in the thing was I had done it l posted some cards and was going to post the ones for Scotland tomorrow. so I have had to tear his up as it was upsetting. I have to email my brother in law who is in Kentucky at the moment and tell him. as my sister in law didnt have his email address..

so it had been a rough old day.

Rita
ps like all the clever folk on heres little drawings,

Rita

Rita Report 2 Dec 2009 21:35

Mo he was my step father in Law and he was 79 . we got on very well together he came from the north of Scotland and spoke Galiec my late husband could never understand Hamie and I use to have to translate what he was saying it was really funny.

I am going back to doing my own Autobiograpy I started that in 2000 and have done it off and on all the time but I want to get really down to it now l have lots of notes I have done ready to type out my sister sits and reads them and she laughs she cannot remember a lot of it as she is 6 years younger than I am. so when I did the profiles of some of the family whom she knew but didnt know much about them IT gives her a new outlook on that person so far I have written My Mums and . Dads his sister Ida. Grandfather Fredrick. Grandmother Sarah's my Great Grandmother and my Great Grandfather also Mums Father and Mother so I have done a lot all have two to three pages of their lives. and when you are writing an Autobiography you can look at them and you then have other information.

time for my tea now. hope you had a good day Mo.

Hi everybody, I'm just having a cuppa (thanks Sue) while I'm waiting for the washer to finish. Once the washing's finished I'll be off out to my sisters.

Rita, sorry to hear about your FIL, it's a shame he didn't get your letter in time, sounds like he looked forward to it.

I bet your son will be pleased with your dad's childhood memories when he gets them. I'd be over the moon if I could read the memories from any of my parents.

You had a really busy day yesterday Rita, I didn't get half that much done.

Mo, the 12th is my dad's birthday but he isn't around any more, so that's a sad day for me as well.

Shelly, I thought Sue's snowman was very good........lol

Marilyn, hurry up and get yourself back here!

Where's Linda today?

Sue, I think the thread had been going for a few months before you came on, I think Shelly came on before you, and Tracey came on at the same time as you. At first it was just Marilyn, Debbie and me on Brian's thread.

Hi Sue Shelly Pauline and Rita
Had to go back to the Dr this morning for the next round of blood tests, results next week.
I actually got the figures from my thyroid results two weeks ago, well one figure is 20 and thats OK apparently the dodgy one is I think TS4? and that is only 0.03 it should be 0.3 apparently? Off to check in my books and the internet too.

So sorry to hear of your sad loss Rita, it's always hard to loose somebody but this time of the year seems worse somehow.

Baby is sleeping, she has a rotten cold , runny nose the works so isn't sleeping much at night.

Had a course on child protection last night.......................... scary stuff out there, that we are best not knowing about sometimes.

Tonight will be nicer going to a carol concert at Wellington College. My niece and nephew are involved too. Andrew Peach is recording it too I think for Berkshire radio so is usually a good one to go to.

Be back later hopefully

Linda :o) XxX
