Chicken for Christmas Day and Roast Beef for Boxing Day. We did used to have a turkey but most of it ended up in the bin or the cat as no one likes the dark meat

We're having beef this year, with all the trimmings.Hubby don't eat meat, so it's up to son/daughter what they want, I'm not bothered, eat anything me :)
On boxing day, when family arrive, I usually do a hot/cold buffet. Not got anything in yet LOL so it will be one big frantic rush this weekend :)

Being a gamekeepers daughter we had lovely home grown chicken, duck or goose at Christmas....................with pheasant and venison too.

We still have home grown veg as we have an allotment.

It would cost a fortune to buy those meats now....................we have a turkey in the freezer for the Sunday between Christmas and New Year when we will do a huge roast for the family.

We meaning my husband will do the actual cooking.......................I hope!!
