Got a nice frozen turkey a while ago just in case there was going to be a shortage.

We eat every little bit of ours. Then the carcase gets made into stock and we have glorious soups.

I do freeze some of the cooked meat to use later in pies and stews though.

Many years ago I took one of our daughters on a playgroup outing to a farm (she must have been aged about 3) and there was a huge turkey in a run. She asked me what it was and when I told her it was a turkey she said "Oh Yum!"

We're going to relatives this year for Xmas dinner and they are having a large crown - it easier for them so I don't blame them - but I much prefer the dark leg meat, so won't be eating much! I usually get a Bronze turkey as they are reared 'properly' and have good chunky legs on them!
