Daughter's birthday party tomorrow for all the family.

What can I serve? there could be thirty people - I have the games for the little ones sorted out and just thought I would do them a savoury kebab and a fruit kebab drizzled with chocolate.

But for the grown ups?

Fairy cakes on a stand for the birthday cake and a candle in the top one.

Some people are veggie, some don't eat cheese so I can't do just a one pot dish like a lasagne or a stew.

Any ideas?

What are your favourite dishes?

Jacket potatoes, let them choose their own fillings, just leave a variety for them to add...

Variety of quiches to serve with salad, you can get veggie quiche, bacon and cheese, tomato and basil.

Hot Dogs, some with quorn sausages, some with meat sausages.

Or two lots of chillie, one veggie, one meat...only two pots, and one pot of rice. Chillie can be made in advance and re-heated at the time, and the flavour is better.

Whats all this " Cut the Crusts Off?" Makes their hair curly eating them, and those without Teeth can always "Suck" them, like some people on here do with the Choccy Biccies when they ask you for tea. .M. :o)))>xx

Oh, that bit is sorted - I could have a party any day of the week, in fact, I could probably open a club.

Cocktails anyone!

Buy a Couple of round Cobs or Cottage Loaves
Cut top off and scoup insides out.

Make cheese dip with whatever fillings you like (Spring Onion, Ham Mushroom etc) place inside Cob place lid back on. Break inside of loaf into smaller pieces and bake Cob and pieces in the oven at about 170C for 25- 30 minutes.
The small pieces go cripsy and is ideal for dipping in the Cob.
You also use the lid and break pieces off the cob as it gets smaller for dipping
Delicious for parties and has always been a hit for me
Regards
Jackie
