Hi Kitty
You just use cream cheese (Philly or Nuefchatel) and you can add whatever you want. Beat it up with a mixer and place in cob
You can use Cream of Chicken, Mushroom etc Cup O soup for more flavour.
I have done a salmon dip, chilli dip and garlic dip also . Just use whatever you like.
Regards
Jackie

Kitty when it was my sis in laws bday she did this with the hollowed out loaf (she is in the US) and she filled it with a cheese and spinach dip bought from the grocery store.
If you wanted to do a cheese and whatever dip look on the net for a receipe as I am positive you can fill it with whatever you fancy lol.
Hope this helps.

I'm a freezer to oven to table sort of girl myself and make the most of supermarket party food.
Good luck with it all though!
