I was also brought up as a RC, but because I had it thrust down my throat all the time as I've become an adult I've rejected it. I do believe in certain things like fish on Fridays, although not every week, but definatly Good Friday is a fish day. Jo.

Chilli tonight. Brought up C of E, but we didn't have fish at all at home. My mother was allergic to it and has passed the allergy on to me. Would love to be able to have fish occaisionally as a change. Ros

We have just eaten a mixed grill - chops, kidney, sausage toms, mushrooms, chips and eggs. scrummy!! We had to have something with eggs as we are getting 10 eggs a day from our chickens !! So no fish for us today, only do fish if RC friends come across. xx Jill

Where's the logic in it all? I would gladly follow my ancester's dietry peculiarities if I could be shown a good reason for doing so. Len

Surely you would only have eaten fish if you had easy access to it. Living in the Midlands there wouldn't have been much fish about.

C of E and fish on Good Friday. As a child, Fridays was always fish and chips for dinner.
