On the odd occasion I do it myself I usually put the milk in after. I heard once from a 'tea expert' on telly that it's 'common' to do so before don't you know. |

There must be one heck of a teapot recession then if the entire country makes tea in a cup! Just doesn't taste the same. Would rather not bother. Daisy |

When my sister wanted to use the teapot I have to admit it did taste nicer, and also, I found myself drinking about 3 cups worth like some sort of Tetley addict! |

Tea made in a pot, to me, just doesn't taste hot enough! even when the pot has been warmed. |

If you make tea in a cup then you put the milk in after the tea bag and hot water. If you make a pot of tea, then you put milk in the cup first and then add the tea. Kaye x |

I make tea a lot at work, and also for other people when they come round and am amazed at how many people don't actually like tea. They like hot water with a bit of milk in it and a quick dip of the teabag so that the liquid just changes colour. I have finally sold out and use teabags, but when my dad was alive he used to provide us with tea from a warehouse. We always put milk in after the tea has brewed. But when I make coffee with cold milk, I put the milk in first. nell |

Use leaf tea, always, in a 'Brown Betty'. Earl Grey is bar far the best, and don't bother with milk. (Nor lemon) Oh and it always taste better from a china beaker than a thick pottery one. jess |
