Glad you had a good time. There are a lot of really nice places to go. I have suggested a few time to mu husband that we have a holiday in Scotland instead of going abroad, but you never know what the weather is going to be like. Marion

Sandra, Midge Eaters are fairly new and expensive as yet, they attract the midges into the machine where they are collected in a bag for disposal. Someone I knew shared one with their neighbour and it kept both gardens midge free last summer. I'm hoping they will come down in price like these gadgets often do...but then, even if they dont , how wonderful would a midge free garden be. Worth almost any expense! Jane

I love Scotland, it's my favourite holiday place, we've been all over, and for my kids it has the happiest associations. I was going to recommend a place but can't decide which I like best.

And I'm homesick! My three brothers have all moved north in the past 2/3 years - Kyle of Lochalsh, Gairloch & Stornoway. And, as you can see, I'm in Gateshead.... The 2 weeks of summer holidays in the Outer Hebrides cannot come quick enough! W.
