Have often thought back to radio programs from when I lived in the UK many moons ago.Certain phrases stick in my head, one in particular, which is driving me mad. Can't think of the name of program/serie or actors. The only bit I can recall is a woman with a plummy voice asking her husband "milk Edmond", he says "yes dear, yes dear"..... the woman could possibly have been called Hermione.used to hear people saying this often.Catch phrases seemed to be more popular back then, don't hear so many nowadays. One that I couldn't place for years, until it suddenly dawned on me who it was, was Charlie Drake saying "oooh, he's fallen in the water"... |

"One episode in which Doom Jr. was playing with his train set. Father asked "Why is your mother lying by the track" and La Gingold replied, in her customary sepulchral tones: "I am a slag heap". |

Hahaha, had to smile at your replies. Many thanks PH, I am so pleased to know the name of the program.Didn't know the wife's name was Drusilla...always though the husband said "yes dear" twice. How long did this program go on for, do you know?I will certainly look at YT for this program. |
