I might well be wrong but I thought I once read that Jean Metcalfe and Cliff Michelmore always took their holidays on the Isle of Wight because Jean Metcalfe couldn't travel. I think he might have been in Germany because they also mentioned that she travelled into the BBC from her home in Dorking or it could have been Woking. |
