"Evening all." Dixon of dock Green.
Ros isn't into reading magazines. but likes her "Take a Break" on Thursdays. She even got it when we were in Portugal/Spain. She sits and does the crooswords. and rerads the stories.
Forgot to tell you. This morning I was giving the old cat a stroke, and his lumps have dissapeared. No idea how or when. Theres no mess anywhere so wonder if the burst inwards. !! He looks a lot better without them.
Ann, It sounds like your OH has a great sense of humour. I could just imagine the womans face :-0 :-0 :-0
Jane, Could the dusters be yellow as they would show the dust you get off the furniture ??? Mum always used old vests as dusters. and worn out sheets for us kids handkerchiefs. If we lost them or cleaned our shoes on them it didn't matter. :-D :-D
Going to watch a bit of Jungle. See you in the morning

My mind boggles Frank ,with the disappearing lumps. That sounds very strange.I'm sure dear old Puss feels more comfortable without them ,wherever they have gone :-S :-S Ann.I just watched that programme. What a disgrace. They were abandoned ,and then were 'DEAD' !!.When clearly very alive. I won't go on .otherwise I won't sleep, and I would really like another good sleep tonight.
Back tomorrow .Night Night everybody xx

Morning All A lovely bright Autumn morning here,,and I was so pleased just now to see a Red Kite again. They seemed to disappear when the fire was burning.I did miss them. I am just going to make a little list and do a bit of shopping, and today I am going to stick to whats on that list ;-) I will take my camera and go past the Butchers to see if the big model is there. It should be as it has been there as long as I can remember. I think a cup of coffee is in order first though.BBL

Well have caught up with your posts. It is not very nice here today, we seem to get one goodish day and then a bad one again. OH did some cementing of the top slates in the porch yesterday but by late afternoon it started to rain just a tiny bit so he covered it all up again.
Just looked out the kitchen window as I sit here at the pooter and I can see his ladder. There was a little blue tit sitting on one of the treads looking in the window at me. Must mean I have forgotten to feed them this morning. Will go and do it now!! Cheeky beggers....

8 eggs and a broken one this morning and I have just given them some cabbage and there was another half a one in the nest box and a hen sitting. Think I am in for a bumper crop today.

Afternoon all,
Been up the doctors to pick up perscriptions, 3 large bags full, they will last a month.
Conrad rang from his Mobile to let us know, the blood# tea leaves have been back and stolen all the cables. No phone No webb, NO BUSINESS. If only they would let me have them if they get caught. They wouldn't be able to do it again :-0 :-0 :-0
Sent off all my Christmas cards to overseas yesterday. They will be early, but better than late. All MY other cards are written and addresssed. Just waiting till next month to post. Ros is doing all the others this morning.
Jane, Where's this butchers ??? My old next door neighbour had a butchers shop in Kettering. Bosworth and Bedford. do you know it. Might be gone now though. He would be well over 100 years old LOL LOL
Your little table will be under a lot of strain, holding all these eggs Mel. ;-) ;-)
Quite dull here now, with a chilly wind. I won't be going anywhere, Ros has to go to the dentist for her new crown, at 3.30pm.

Afternoon everyone,
Its a lovely day here nice and sunny ,have the washing on the line but don't know if there's much dry out as the slabs are still quite wet ,nice blow though.
Went to get my tablets from bo*ts then realised my prescription prepayment card had run out on the 16th ,so had to come home and renew it , might walk back up for them this afternoon.
There's one of those big model butchers outside a butchers shop in Wroxham , we only have one butchers shop left in the town now , i suppose the supermarket has priced them all out of town .
Frank your getting ahead with your christmas cards ,i haven't even thought about mine yet , i have got lots of presents ,the spare bed is covered !!
time for a cuppa . BBL

Afternoon All Don't talk about Christmas presents to me, feeling a little panicky (sp) that I can't go out to do my Christmas shopping yet, I have a few things for Sofia, but have no idea's for anyone else, and am still unable to wear warm clothes (trousers) to go out in this cold weather,
I probably will have to buy some gifts on line, when I ask for idea's everyone says , don't worry mum it does not matter this year, but that does not make me feel any better though.
cloudy and damp outside, glad I am inside and warm.

Hi all sorry I have not been on here my computor went beserk again and was spluttering and going off after little hands got at it.
My bad lucks struck me again my nephews died suddenly of a heart attack he lost his dad to cancer some months before now Nevilles died which we read in the paper it was a dreadful shock it was a heart attack. Reading it in the paper as we did his dads death really upset us all but we managed to send flowers which we will do this time also.
I have have had another fall this time I fell in the alleyway taking out the rubbish bags and landed face down in on the broken tarmacked floor which was going to be re done shortly. My face was like a bloody mass of cuts and being on my own did not help matters, I have a cut head at the front a cut inside my mouth one just above lip and the top of my nose lost its surface. I look like a war victim and am fed up of saying no my husbands not hit me. Why do people say such stupid things is it that they do not know what else to say do you think.
Things here were sailing along normally Mohsens gone off to Tunisia due back Sunday. Michelles not been too good womenly problems.
The little ones are ok little April quit the american jargon and is behaving herself. Hope everyone is ok must go my glasses hurt my nose if on too long. love from Sheila.

Oh my goodness Sheila, sounds like a really bad fall, hope things will improve quickly. Did your daughter not go to the States in the end? It does seem sometimes when you get one bit of bad news more follows but things settle down again.
We haven't even got a butchers shop here, I think there is a Hallal (sp) one but not what I call a normal butchers. I don't eat much meat anyway, just as well.
Got myself motivated at last to do some Christmas cards, well I've started one at least and am off shopping with daughter on Monday, we thought it might be quieter than the weekend. There are so many Christmas adverts on the tele now, it all seems to start earlier and earlier.

Afternoon everyone. Frank the Butchers Shop is in Hawthorn Rd.I think it is Paul Harris (or something like that). My old next door neigbour was a Butcher .He was Geoff Towell and his shop was at the end of Windmill Ave/Stamford Rd.I think his sons run that one now. I got a pic of the 'Butcher' outside the shop. Will send it in a moment.
Liz,goodness me.No wonder you have been having trouble with your back.Hopefully some Physio will help you.
Fiona, don't panic yet. There is still a month to go .I'm sure you will be able to manage to get your pressies in a week or so.If not, then at least as you say you can go on-line.
I have normally written my cards by now,but I still haven't bought any :-S.No I lie.I bought 8.
Just having a coffee and a quick look at the paper

I have sent the pic on to you again Jane and also to David.
I said to Jane that I wouldn't mind collecting a few pics of these kinds of things you saw in the old shops, so if anyone gets any pics of any can you please share them. Mel, you mentioned one of a pig, so if you get chance, please can you see if you can get a pic. Remember the old cobbler's shops that had the man with the animated hammer and shoe he was mending on a shoe iron. I bet there aren't any of those anymore.
Liz, that must have been quite a relief for you to know it's nothing serious. I hope the physio helps you. It sounds as if you need to keep it warm when the weather is cold.

Frank, I can't believe they have stolen the cable AGAIN!! They've got the cheek of the devil haven't they. It is a pity they can't boobytrap them somehow. Unless they do something they will keep coming back and helping themselves won't they.
Sheila, that sounds a really nasty fall, must have shaken you up and nuisance you are cut where your glasses sit too. Sorry to hear about your nephew too.......I should think you must be due some good news soon.
We called at MIL's this afternoon as we were over their way and I had one of those 'cringe' moments when you wish you could take back what you said!! :-( They had been clearing some cupboards out and had taken stuff to various charity shops. I asked her which ones they went to and she ran through a list of the ones in the town including the Art shop?? I asked which charity that was for and OH 's eyes went all twinkly and he said British Heart Foundation!!! lol I think I went a bit red!! lol
