The house we live in is SOLD
Lost money on the transaction but recent times have been difficult.
We have looked at a few that are very local,some so close as to make me wonder if it could be called a move.
Ellen's taken control. No other house bought yet.
She can be dominant,from her nursing years.
I think I'm going to have to know may place.
Her goffa. Go for this,go for that etc
Beats being idle or incapable.

Great News David.Fingers crossed it all goes through without any hitches.

David good that you have sold the house and trust a womans judgement with the buying of a new one.

I enjoyed last nights South Riding but it's a shame next week is the last one. I think they could have taken it further than they have. what do you think?

Hi Everyone

Guess whose back to cold winds, grey skies and rain!!
Have had a wonderful time in glorious sunshine with only one shower of rain in three weeks and that was at night. This has definitely banished the winter blues for another year and now its back to the real world. My weight has only increased by 2 pounds probably due to all the walks along the prom, and as we are going off to Berko on Thursday to babysit, that should soon disappear. I have not had a chance to read any of your postings yet but will try to catch up during the day in between loading the washer etc.
Mel Many thanks for your messages. I was trying to use hubbies tiny computer and it could not cope with the Genes sight. I do hope you had a wonderful birthday ( see I'm sober now!!) I managed to leave hubbies valentine card behind so presented it to him this morning, typical I seem to have a brain like a sieve these days.
Well must get back to the washing.

I agree about South Riding Mel, I'm really enjoying it, but for next week to be the last one is a bit of a downer! They must be really contracting the whole thing to the bone, so to speak! hope it makes sense!!! Back much better this am, still very stiff, but bearable!! So glad to hear about your house David, that is really good news; we are still poddling on with ours and don't expect to see much action till early summer (if then!!) I think any move we do will be the stuff of nightmares, as we are moving such a long way! Oh well, we shall see!!! Just talked to Laura, had a really nice long chat, always makes me feel better!!!

I see David that you have finally found your place in life, like the rest of us MEN.

Have recorded South Riding, so will watch it all at once, perhaps when Ros is out for a day.

Rain here again today, and very cold with it. Ros has been to the nurse to have her dressing changes, all coming along fine, Back and leg not much better after the injections, got to go back end of March, So he might try again, we will see.

I think I will do chicken breasts tonight. Might use one of those bag things, with all the spices and sauce in. We bought one to try., If no good won't buy another.!!!!

Hope all the sick amongst us are showing signs of improvement.

Anne, you have been good only putting on two pounds !! i hate all the washing you have to do when you get home ,and you must have loads being away three weeks .

Chicken pie for us tonight with veg , nice and easy to do, just got to bung it in the oven !!

Spoke to my friend this morning , she has just lost her mum , they were more like sisters then mum and daughter ,did every thing together ,she's finding it very hard .

I did some ironing this morning , now i feel shattered ,so that's me done for the day ,just got to do a little at a time .

MICHELLE Hi I have come on here to say thank you to Maureen for the card she painted for mum. My mother is coming out of hospital on Thursday. Mum was so happy when she saw that card .The flowers were

How wonderful Birmingham winning the Carling Cup mum and I watched it on the telly in the patients lounge we have waited so long for Blues to get
good matches so many people have looked down at them and I thought they played well.Arsenals my brother Ashleys team and he was gutted.

I loved the film the Kings Speech and watched the oscars did not go to bed .Nat Portman got the award for best actress for Black Swan which I predicted. I love Colin Firth so was well pleased The Kings Speech got most of the awards .

My sister went back to Wales. Little April suffered chicken pox and she hates it so Jessica went back home the doctor advised she will be ok
with regard to the baby. April been given some cotton gloves to stop her
scratching herself. She is covered from head to toe.

Frank I would be annoyed if anyone accused me of something so mean not everyone is bad some people are horrrible always looking for trouble.
I do know sometimes people say things and they are misunderstood my mum was a victim of that but people do not realise how hurtful some remarks can be. Mum was with Mohsen and myself in Tunisia sat in in a cafe and these french guys were seated at the side of us. One of them said in english he must have got her pregnant to be with that women she is so old. They all laughed and was looking at mum. Mum got out of her seat and said this is my son in law and picked up the frenchmans coke and tipped it on his head and walked out of the cafe. I will never forget the look on his face and his mates all laughed. I found mum back at the hotel . Mohsen was so angry I had to drag him out of the cafe .He later went back and wanted to punch the guy who said it but the manager told him if he did he would phone the police.



I have asked for a divorce but do not know yet what will happen. I am in so much debt because of my marriage and all my friends are gloating and
saying you a solicitor should have known better. Or could you have not given him another chance. The answer is no. That guy took so many years of my life and just threw everything I did away . I will always love him.
But loosing my baby was hard I have nothing.Not even my self respect.
I had this funny dream I was cleaning toilets in Scotland What did that mean I wonder.I am going around in a daze and trying to cope.

I need to walk the dogs they are playing up while mum is away
they keep sitting by the door and snuggling each other.

Mum is looking forward to contacting you again she was so touched with the kind messages and cards so thank you have a lovely week from Michelle.It is nice that you have not met my mum and cared enough to send cards and messages.

Still trying to catch up and wondering where Sadie the Bra Lady fits into things.
I have memories of visiting her first shop in Consett ( where I was born ) with my mother long before she had a chain of shops and a website and I have worn "her" bras for years. We had a shop in Thisk but it has been closed now for about a year. I can recommend all her underwear and wonder if she is still alive.

Just popping in very quickly Computer is being awkward this afternoon and I am fed up with it lol

Been shopping this morning and only got back about 1/2 hour ago. went out at 10. it was really frosty this morning when I went to the shops(indoor Centre) but when I came out it was a lovely sunny day and the sun was warm coming through the bus windows.

Glad Shiela is on the mend and coming out of hospital.
Good David glad to know the house is sold. hopefully it won't be to long before you find a new one.

Jane , these flippin computers are a pain, OH got an e-mail to say that Me*h were doing the last test on my new computer and hopefully it won't be long now before it is delivered.

I have got my 2 new pairs of specs!My distance ones feel fine ,not sure about the readers.I have just had a look on the table here and I have 5 pairs lol.I think I really should get rid of my cheap readers now .Chris came in just now and gave me a funny look.I had 2 pairs on my head and was using another !!!He said I looked ridiculous .How rude lol

Anne ,Sadie cropped up many many months ago when us girls were saying how uncomfortable Bra's are and we couldn't wait to get them off.I think we may have been talking of Mastectomy's too.David very kindly informed us all about Sadie and her Bras.I think he said his wife gets hers there.(I may be wrong).So Sadie has almost become part of our thread lolol.That's funny that you use her too!!

Have been and done a bit of shopping in Holsworthy. OH split his jeans last Wed. when he went out ringing. I had to get him three pairs of trousers, well one jeans and two mole skin trousers. He now informs me they are much too long and look to big and too low in the chrutch!! If they are he can take them back and try some on while in the shop for himself!!!!!!!!! I was cross!! I shan't do it for him again..............................

It's been a lovely sunny day here all day just because I did'nt have any washing to put out.

So nice to know our Sheila is coming out of hosp on Thursday.
Glad she is on the mend now. Love to Sheila xx.

Frank , don't let some stupid , ignorant lady wind you up , some people are really pathetic, & hurtful.your a better person than that .congrats David on selling your house , onwards & upwards i say . Mel keeping busy with those chickens , I used to love market day in Hatherleigh , because of the birds.Michelle i am so pleased your mum is doing so well, I am also sorry to hear of your marriage breakdown,& the loss of your baby , i too lost one 10 yrs ago , & to be honest i dont think men really understand what we go through! you will have a good new life ahead of you , be strong , it will come .

Morning all
I was on the computer to find a phone number so thought I would just pop in before breakfast and say good morning.
Found dad's passport last night in among his papers so needed the phone number of the passport office to ask what I needed to sort out. they are going to send out a form so I can send the passport back and get it cancelled

Thanks mel , for the advice on my ancestors death cert, it does not tell me the cause of death anyway,

I'm starting to need food, and another cup of tea.
