Ooh Maureen I loved Frankie Valli and the Seasons.I bet it will be good.
It is feeling a little chilly out there now even though the sun is still shining. Most of the washing has dried so I have whipped it in quick before it starts to get damp again.
Off the the Vets at 4 .I think Chester may need a nail clipping as he is limping (on his good leg) and the little nail/clawlooks a bit odd.Are they nails or claws?

Liz is Ian trouble caused by medication like painkillers? Or is it just a result of the op?4 doses of laxative today!!!!!!!!! Watch out lol
I hope it works for him.It makes you feel blooming miserable if you can't go.

What a good idea Mandy, B & B pudding. I have half a loaf ready for the birds. Might do that instead. Nice with a drop of cream !!!!

Very cold out now, sure we are in for another frost tonight. Get them winceette nighties out girls.!!!!

Ros has to go to Woodlands tomorrow for swabs and twats before her injections next week. We know her operation is all clear of infections, but they will insist on doing other swabs.

Pork chops, corn on the cob and jacket potato
Doing an easy dinner tonight. (it jumped)

Neighbours father has had a massive stroke, and dosen't expect to come through it. He is 95 so had a good innings. Hope he dosen't suffer, wouldn't be fair on him.

You old devil Maureen, don't get too excited, who knows what it might do to you !!! lol.

Anymore news on the house Liz and Jane.????

Haven't heard anything Frank on the house ,but Hannah is getting things to sign etc so it must still be happening.I won't hold my breath though when I think how many times it has fallen through before.

Just over £23 for Chesters Nails to be clipped !!!!!!.It would have been cheaper to take him to the salon and have a full manicure lol

Evening All,

Lucky you Maureen. We would have gone to see it last year......bloomin knees!! The write ups we have seen were very good so you should have a good time!!

We are off to Loughborough tonight to see The Pasadena Roof Orchestra.....rather different but very foot tapping! At least it should keep me awake as I'm shattered now......we cleaned all through this morning, moved the settees to get under them and the beds too......so much dust. We did the lampshades, cleaned the kitchen window, cooker hood, microwave.....phew, such busy bees. Then we went to look at patio slabs, think we've narrowed the choice to 2 now! We have caught another mouse in the loft, so have set the trap again.

Ian's not had it very good has he Liz.......hope these setbacks are soon behind him. Hope they find out what is wrong with the car, so frustrating.

Don't know that song Frank..........but it made me think of the 'Auntie Mary had a canary down the leg of her draws one'!!!! lol, lol

Better go and get ready to go out......so cold now so I'd better wrap up!!

Jane

Jane Report 8 Feb 2011 18:13

The house is tickling along! Thursday,a guy is coming to do a survey for our prospective buyers, however, they haven't made an offer yet, so not holding our breath, many a slip as they say! Jane, Ian is on paracetamol, though not as many as at first, but still two every 4/5 hours! this could be the problem! we are having spinach tonight, if that doesn't do the trick, nothing will!! Must go and check the spuds and put on Lamb steaks.

Jane

Jane Report 8 Feb 2011 19:50

Paracetamol won't make him constipated Liz but if it is paracetamol with Codeine .The Codeine will bung him up.
Mmm! Lamb Shanks.I have never done them .Have had them in a restaurant and thought they were delicious.
Have just checked the chops in the slow cooker and the meat just fell off the bones.Mixed in the cream/mustard/cornflour /water to thicken .It looks lovely.Ready to dish up in 20 minutes........I'm starving lol

So that's all done for another year .

SORRY JANE, that was suppose to say TESTS if you look at the keyboard you will see I was one key out on two letters. Just shows what you can do if you don't read your posts.!!!! I almost feel off my chair when I read it. I bet everybody did !!!! had a real good laugh.

Glad things are moving along on the houses, I see prices are starting to go up a bit. I think the building society's are lending more money also.

Holby City is on T.V. I can't stand one of the actors, so I won't watch it.

Still haven't sorted out car insurance, so will look into that in a minute.

Hope Shirl. is well and starting to get free of the snow. But they certainly know how to deal with it out there.

Hi
On my own again all quiet. OH won't be home from Barcelona till after midnight tomorrow. it seems RY**N A*R only do 2 flights a day from Barcelona to Edinburgh , 1 in the morning and 1 at 9.00 at night.
even though OH is finishing work at lunch time he has to fill in the time somehow till he can go to the airport.

He rang me tonight after his evening meal ,seemingly which he cooked himself in some fancy resturant. it seems it very popular to go out for a meal to a resturant where you can choose your own food and cook it yourself in front of the chef, he say's he had a great time ,OH is better at cooking than me anyway.
Hope Ann has a great time out tonight.
I'm off to watch TV.
so will say goodnight.

When we went to Tokyo we went to a few places where we cooked our own food in restaurants. It was an experience and quite good fun.Except for the place where we had to sit on the floor to do it.Trying to get up again with stiff knees was no joke lol.The Japanese people had no trouble!!
I am off to bed now ,just need to turn of the TV and lights.
Night Night all.xx

Off for a shower now and then bed. I have to go out again tomorrow but will see you all in the morning.

No sun this morning or frost, just cloudy and overcast .

I was woken by hubby coughing at 4.30 ,went and made a cup of tea ,read my book till 5.30 then nodded off until the alarm went off at 6.30 .

The birds were twittering away at 4.30 when i let Toby out for a wee , even though it was dark, its lovely to hear them when its all quite outside .

Off shopping this morning ,then i'll get the rest of my ironing done .

Hi Guys, back again!!! Not a very good night as Ian had to get out to the loo, unsuccessfully again!! today I have rung the nurse, who has said to have two more doses of 'Movicol', one now and one at lunch; If that doesn't do the trick then the Nurse will come out and, 'do the business!! not only that, but Ian had a nasty pain down his leg going into his ankle, which woke him up again!!! more paracetamol! anyhow, the Doctor has been informed, as we are slightly worried about a blood clot! Sorry about the constant tale of woe, crack the loo problem, and we shall begin to make progress!! Next door's cat has taken to coming into our garden! it's a dear little black and white, neat little cat, Millie is fascinated by it, it is use to dogs as neighbour has one, so no running away, which is, for Millie, quite intriguing!!!!

10.45am

Good morning sweet things,

Liz, Don't apologise about your woes, we are here to listern to any and all of our problems. Hope they get him sorted.

I would love to try a fish pie, but I know the reaction from Ros would be YUK, not in this house, she would hate the smell. If I want sardines I go into the garden and cook them on the BBQ. Can you imagine cold winters lunchtime cooking sardines outside. Neighbour thinks I am off my head !!!!

Still didn't get insurance sorted last night was on here till 10pm. The more you look at the more you get CONFUSED. All different excess's some with replacemant cars and windscreen cover other not. I can see me ending up with my old one SA#A I am waiting on a call from the AA but don't hold much hope with that.

Dull day out there this morning they forcast rain later. but very mild. compared to last week.
