Have you had any snow yet Tec?
I am sick of it already and there is more to come. We are supposed to be going away fro a two night break mid week. that will involve driving over the M62, that should be interesting, assuming it is passable

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Nov 2010 22:40

I like the idea of the new type where you paste the wall and put the dry paper up, that has to be easier

Tecwyn Report 27 Nov 2010 22:46

I don't know how he managed Amanda, I thought it was quite clever really, but wouldn't recommend it.

Yes Linda, we have lots of snow, frozen now, and horrible. It is minus 6 C here. The hills and mountains look fantastic, and I noticed a few people out with cameras today. We are promised blizzards on Tuesday - that should be fun.

Tec.............10-45pm.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Nov 2010 22:50

That was the problem this morning Tec.The stuff from yesterday had partly thawed then frozen to hard packed ice. It was then covered with lots of new fluffy snow making a lethal combination

We seem to be escaping the worse of the snow here in Norfolk , there is a bit laying about but nothing much to speak of .
According to the forecast we might cop it in a few days , time will tell .

You are welcome to it Amanda, it takes me back to last winter and I have forgotten that we have had summer in between

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Nov 2010 22:59

I've stocked up the freezer, and got in plenty of everything, so don't need to go out for a week. The problem here is, being so remote, everything for the supermarket has to be brought from the Midlands. If the roads betweenhere and there are very bad then they don't get through, so stocks of things like bread and milk etc soon run out, hence the panic buying I saw today.
I wouldn't fancy the M62 in this weather.

Tec..............11pm.

I don't mind a bit of snow , it makes me feel quite festive ....lol
But we don't have hills or even slight bumps here in Norfolk , so the white stuff is less of a problem when it does fall .

The Summer didn't last long enough this year .

My daughter who lives in Shropshire hasn't had any. She was hoping to get lots so that school might close for a few days and she could have a holiday lol.

I thought I was seeing double there, both of the last posts have been repeated.
At least these days Tec, you can buy long life milk which is just the same as the fresh stuff. I keep a carton in the cupboard just in case I need extra, we use lots of milk event though there are just the two of us now

Good evening Tec, Linda and amanda

good morning Sue

Tec glad you made it safely home after visit to supermarket and I wish I had that real fire you have, you can't beat a real fire when it's cold.

Linda sorry you have had some more snow, do you have to do any cinema duty's at the moment ( hope not )

Hi Amanda you have been busy today, I'm in the middle of changing thing's around in my living room but had to stop to watch the X factor and now I'm on here.

Sue I hope you don't get the rain, but at the same time I hope it doesn't get to hot for you.

I started this at 10-10pm but went to the loo and then got into sorting some thing's in the liveing room and forgot I hadn't posted it lol.

Berona Report 27 Nov 2010 23:07

Sorry I've been missing - although I don't think anyone missed me (sob).
Our premises are being sprayed to-day by the pest exterminators and one of the residents has to work, so left his key with me - and we had a chat!

I can't imagine the difficulty that man must have had with putting his wallpaper on sideways. As I said, paper isn't as popular as it was here, but some people paint the walls, then put a frieze on the painted wall - especially in babies' rooms - and I've heard how difficult that is. If they don't draw a pencil line first - big trouble!!

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Nov 2010 23:11

I did miss you Berona, but you quite often go walk about.

Hello Diane, with all this talk of decorating I was just thinking that you should paint your bedroom for Christmas. I still think you could do it one wall at a time by just moving things forward. There a project for you while your employer is in respite care

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 27 Nov 2010 23:11

Berona .... I had wondered where you had got to .
I hope the pests are exterminated successfully .

Good evening Diane , it sounds as if you are having a multi tasking busy evening ....lol
