Hello all looking in.
I'm sorry that I've worried you Berona. I found it so difficult to get on the site that I gave up:-(
The weather here is glorious - warm and sunny. I haven't been very busy so I've been able to enjoy the sun and catch up with some reading and family research. My brother has found some information regarding long gone ancestors including a lieutenant on board a ship during the Napoleonic Wars. He also found a print of the ship our ancestor was on.
Diane - I'm glad you've seen the doctor and I really hope things move on and you can get some relief. We do worry about you.
Sandie - I'm sorry you are feeling down and I hope that when you come on here you feel better if only for awhile. We are all friends and therefore accept each other in good and bad times.
Talk soon...........I hope:-))

Hello Sue and everyone:-)
Sue, I'm glad you are having some nice weather. Today our weather was very dismal, it rained all day:-((
I am waiting on a marriage certificate at the moment, Ive decided to work on a more difficult branch of my tree. Ive been told by a family member that one of my GG grandmothers was illegitimate. So, Ive decided to have a look for myself to make sure:-)
Terribly sad news about the 29 miners, it was an awful shock. It made me think about my GG grandfather who also died in a coal mining accident, (I have the inquest report):-( Mining is such a dangerous profession, I feel so sad for all their families and all those affected by the tragedy.

Greetings from the winter wonderland that is Yorkshire. We awoke to a covering of snow and it is coming down thick and fast.
It was sad about the miners Carole. I suppose because the Chilean ones were rescued that everyone though the same would happen again

Morning all ~~~~~from a sunny South Wales~~~
Not a cloud in the beautiful blue sky , but it's freezing !
Sorry you have the nasty white stuff Linda.Ugh !
Son woke up and it was so bright and light he thought we must have had snow and was disappointed when he realized it was only frost !!! He's 22 FGS ,when is he going to grow up ??, it's not as if he has a day off school cos they've closed.lol
Tec My BIL called in on Sunday on his way back from the rugby match in Cardiff, he had his new lady friend with him. She has recently returned from South Africa after a divorce. Her dau who was born in SA is over for a few weeks and was so excited when the drove over the Britannia bridge one morning to see snow glistening on the top of Snowdon, BIL had to drive them down for a closer look.lol I think she thought she'd be playing snowballs .lol
Hope everyone is well :)) Speak later Sandie.x

Hi Persey~~
Hope you are well:) Just checking my messages as some one put up a thread about the size of the boxes being altered . Mine appears the same !
I noticed I hadn't replied to one of yours:((
I get confused .. are you in Aus or NZ..? If it's Aus I suppose you could call Wills and Kate my new neighbours by comparison to your country, tho NZ is bigger than the UK. They will be living on the island of Anglsey in North Wales, I live in the South about 150 miles away , my BIL does live on Anglsey, so they will be his neighbours,.The island is only approx 20 by 25 miles, but I don't think he knows where they are living:)
He lives in a village abbreviated to Llanfair PG cos of the following:--- Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch . The village is best known for its name, the longest place name in Europe and one of the longest place names in the world. The village's long name cannot be considered an authentic Welsh-language toponym. It was artificially contrived in the 1860s to bestow upon the station the honour of having the longest name of any railway station in the United Kingdom: an early example of a publicity stunt. The approximate pronunciation in English orthography is given at the station as: Llan-vire-pooll-guin-gill-go-ger-u-queern-drob-ooll-llandus-ilio-gogo-goch, although "chwurn" would be a far better representation of the middle syllable than "queern", and "llantus" would be more accurate than "llandus". The ch is a voiceless uvular fricative [?] or voiceless velar fricative as in "Bach" ([bax]: see ach-Laut) in most varieties of German. The ll is a voiceless lateral fricative [?], a sound that does not occur in English and is sometimes approximated as [?l] (thl as in athlete) or even [xl] by English speakers.
When I was in junior school our teacher gave us six 'old pence' to pronounce the name ( There were 120 pennies in the £ at that time) lol
Take care Sandie.x

Good morning/evening everyone - hope you are all well.
I'm glad to be able to get back on this morning. I gave up yesterday after a few attempts.
Sandie - if we all practise enough we should be able to stun all our families and friends by saying the name of the village:-))

Good morning to you Sue : ))
I hope your having another lovely sunny day .
It looks as if the site has sorted itself out at last , let's hope it doesn't start playing up again .
We took the dogs out for a quick run this morning , it was snowing and they enjoyed frisking about in it more than we did ....lol It's still a bit warm here for the snow to settle but I think we are forecast more in the next few days ....... I must confess that it's making me feel rather festive ....lol We took little Emily to the garden centre and her face was a picture of amazement when we pushed her into the Christmas display area as it was all lite up and looked magical . She is at the perfect age to see the " magic " of Christmas : ))

Hi Amanda - it's lovely and sunny here at the moment but rain is forecast for later. We'll see....
I can just imagine Emily's face. My lot haven't really started talking about Christmas yet. Joel just goes on and on so we'll try to delay it for awhile:-)) My daughter had Aimee's ears pierced yesterday. I'm not sure I agree with a child of that age getting it done but that's up to my daughter. It does look very pretty and Aimee is so excited.

Well Sue , I hope you can keep Christmas quiet for a few more weeks then .....lol
I hope Aimee's aren't too sore . My daughter let Daisy have hers pierced last year ( when she was five ) , I didn't approve either but us you say , it's up to the parent . Daisy did get a bit of an infection in one of the holes and I bit my tongue instead of leaping in with an " I told you so " . It cleared up ok and she looks pretty with her earrings in , she is a bit " old " for her six years is our Daisy .

Hi Amanda we haven't had any of the white stuff yet and I hope we don't for a while. I bet it was a lovely sight to see little Emily's face when you took her to the garden centre.
I went to a private hospital this evening with employer's mum, at first she thought she was suffering with hemorrhoid's but it turn's out she has a prolapsed bowel. She is hopeing to have it sorted out in the next few week's which mean's she will have to stay in hospital for at least one night and then 3-4wks rest.

Hi Diane - hope you are well and not in too much pain.
The poor lady - I hope she's not too unwell. I also hope that your job isn't going to get more difficult. I don't mean to sound harsh but I hope you don't have to cope with everything by yourself.

Good evening Diane , I hope you can avoid the white stuff for awhile , it won't do your poor hip any favors as it makes walking that bit more tricky if it's all slippery : ((
I hope your employers Mum is going to be ok , it sounds like a nasty complaint , poor lady . As Sue said , I do hope you aren't going to get lumbered with twice as much of a work load .
Sue ...... I like how you said Aimee looks in the mirror and says " Wow " , it made me smile : ))

Hi Sue, I'm not to bad today with the pain as I have had a lazy day. Hopefully while she is haveing op and rest her son will go into emergency restbite with the lady he is with this week, she is going away for christmas on the 20th Dec so if the op can be done in the next week or so then she will have him, if not he will go to some-one else who has been vetted by her and his restbite carer.

Good evening/morning everyone. Hope you are well and keeping warm. I thought your seasons were like ours - they start on the 1st day of the month and go to the last day of the third month. Don't yours do this? We have Spring 1Sep to 30Nov; Summer 1Dec - 28Feb; Autumn 1Mar - 31May; Winter 1Jun - 31Aug. I have always believed yours to be the same dates, but opposite seasons. Am I wrong in this?
I see our page numbers are still shrinking.

Hi Amanda, as I have just posted to Sue it shouldn't mean anymore workload to me, I will probably go to work later than normal and just help with some house-work but it is likely I will have some extra time off as well. As for the white stuff, yes it would be more difficult to walk in so hopeing it stay's away.

Hello Diane ....... I 'm relieved to hear that at that rate , your workload should actually be lighter , I'm sure your hip will thank you ...lol
Good morning Berona , I hope you have awoken to Sunshine : ))
I'm not sure how to define our seasons over here .
Spring is generally March , April , May ; Summer : June , July , August . Autumn ; Sept , Oct , Nov Winter : Dec , Jan , Feb
But as we are seeing this year Winter has come early and sometimes February can be warm and Spring like .
And I bet you get different answers of all us Brits ! .....lol

Hello Berona - I've just been outside and it's quite warm already. I think our Spring has been unseasonably cool and wet.
