12 yogurts later and im hooked, they are a bit nice arent they

so come on tell me, the best yogurts, and who make them please

Lynn, the problem is that in the olden days when we were young the only yoghurt was Ski (the full of fitness food for all the family) and now there are lots and lots of flavours and varieties. Some of the supermarket home labels are good especially the ones with real fruit, We like those fruit corner ones

Lol Lynn.
OH won't eat them. He thinks they must be like sour milk.

I like the Yeo Valley ones, - plain or flavoured. If I buy the plain Greek style one, I add a drizzle of runny honey, ...mmmm.

Watch out for any that are thinkened by starch. You sometimes get that as a thickener, especially in low fat varieties and I always think they do taste starchy, ...not nice.
When different ones are on a special offer, I try them. Apart from the starchy ones, I like most of them.

I reckon it would be OK on chocolate cake, ..Lol.

I quite like plain yoghurt on apple pie.
There is a good contast with the sweetness of the fruit.
Great on mince pies too.

The yogurts of today bear no resemblence to the ones I use to eat years ago. Much prefer the lovely ones you can buy now. My favourites are Rhubarb at the moment mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

mmm fruit corner--wish we could get them here!
I'm now very much liking natural Greek yoghourt (full fat unfortunately, the low 1% is just set powdered milk)-but we eat it with savoury dishes, grilled meats etc.
It's taken me 20 years here to get to like the flavour and sourness--
Well done Lynn for trying something new-if you like honey, try a teaspoon in a small pot of Greek yogourt

Lodgers have increased in number. They must have been hiding another youngster from me !.. so 3 babies, 2 adults and a county full of 'guardians'.

They were still calling out at 1.15 this morning.

My favourite fruit yoghurt is one I make myself.....

Chopped fruit in a large bowl (this week I am on blueberries, strawberries and banana)
Slosh in some natural yoghurt - greek or sheeps is good.
sweeten with runny honey

Stir it all up and get stuck in..... 'tis yummy and much nicer than the "fruit" flavoured ones you can buy.

Yoghurt = for the good bacteria
Fruit = for the vitamins and minerals etc
Honey = natural goodness and antiseptic
