Thanks for the tip, Ann.

I'm not keen on gooseberries but I'll try the rhubarb idea.

I love the frozen yoghurt desserts too. There's a lovely raspberry/strawberry one which I think is Carte D'Or.
Then the dried banana slices which are coated in the solid yoghurt (looks a bit like white chocolate) taste great and very moreish I reckon.

Yeo Valley I love especially the natural one as sometimes I add good qualitiy honey to it or sometimes golden syrup - which gives it a toffee flavour. Tesco Finest or Morrisons Finest are luverly. M&S ones are okay too even the very low fat ones.

My all time favourite is lemon curd ones and second comes Rhubarb. Yummy. did not get any today and so now I fancy one :(( lol

I have to agree that they bear no resemblance of yoghurts of 30 years ago.

I even make my own with a yoghurt maker and they are just LUSH.

I love any yoghurt that has raspberries in it.

Talking about changing tastes Lynn, I used to hate peppers and garlic and wouldn't eat them or anything with them in but now I adore them.

Still don't like parsley though!!!

Hi Gwyn
Have you tried greek yoghurt with stewed rhubarb stirred in, or stewed gooseberries?

We used to eat set plain yogurt with salad and grilled meat, when we lived in Cyprus.
....a good alternative to mayonaise.

My favourite fruit yoghurt is one I make myself.....

Chopped fruit in a large bowl (this week I am on blueberries, strawberries and banana)
Slosh in some natural yoghurt - greek or sheeps is good.
sweeten with runny honey

Stir it all up and get stuck in..... 'tis yummy and much nicer than the "fruit" flavoured ones you can buy.

Yoghurt = for the good bacteria
Fruit = for the vitamins and minerals etc
Honey = natural goodness and antiseptic

Lynn

Lodgers have increased in number. They must have been hiding another youngster from me !.. so 3 babies, 2 adults and a county full of 'guardians'.

They were still calling out at 1.15 this morning.

mmm fruit corner--wish we could get them here!
I'm now very much liking natural Greek yoghourt (full fat unfortunately, the low 1% is just set powdered milk)-but we eat it with savoury dishes, grilled meats etc.
It's taken me 20 years here to get to like the flavour and sourness--
Well done Lynn for trying something new-if you like honey, try a teaspoon in a small pot of Greek yogourt
