To find out if any of them was/were Sylvia's child(ren), you would have to purchase the cert(s).

And that's only assuming that any child she may have had was registered with the surname Thomas

Thank you for your help flick it was around the 9/3/2011 that i sent one message and the other went on the 16th they were to two different people so I know that it is not one person who hasn't opened mail. But you are right they may not use GR any more and just not closed their account but never mind I'm not giving up :-) . I don't think she was remarried which has been suggested as her surname at the time of her death was Thomas I will have to order the death certificate to see if that will give me any more clues to weather or not my husband was her only child. There is another Thomas/Didcote marriage in the same district, which would probably account for some of the 9 births in the area.

There are two births in the same qtr/year which are not twins, so each must be to different parents

Yes Flick I did take note of the births you mentioned I am looking at them now,and the other marriage in that same area turns out to be that of Sylvia's sister Grace. Thank you for your help it is much appreciated.
