Would you believe I have just had a phone call from the B G bloke with an apology for this morning.. I told him not to bother and get off the line, as I didn't want to speak to him.
I have arranged for Home serve to come and fit the new part to the boiler. The plumber told me that through IDEAL the boiler makers. they can supply and fit, and cover the boiler against any failure for the next twelve months for £440.00. My plumber said he can't buy a HEAT EXCHANGER for that money !!! They will be here Tuesday., so it should all be up and running then.
Thank Gawd it isn't cold. lol .We are getting hot water from the Electric Shower in a bucket and transferring it to the kitchen for washing up. We are using the dishwasher for most of the stuff anyway, so we are getting by. The Halogen heater is in the lounge, it has THREE Setting one, two, or three bars. We also have the gas fire in the hearth if we need it, and it turns cold.
The forecast is for MILD WEATHER for a few more days, so I should be counting my blessings :-D :-D :-D :-D
Fiona you just never know what is going to turn up on family trees, that's what I find so interesting.
Conrad has Ros's family tree in a box somewhere in his packaging from when he moved. It was given to Ros by her uncle. and Conrad was going to get it Laminated, but never got round to it. TYPICALY of him. Scatter brain. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Jan has spoken to Ros on Skype, and said now she in in the house, OUR BEDROOM is ready for us, anytime we want to go down. As long as it doesn't entail anymore work, I will consider going down again next month for a few days at the SEA SIDE. We will no doubt be spending Christmas down there anyway.
I still haven't spoken to Harvey since his outburst, so there's no chance of going down there for Christmas. :-( :-( :-( Lewis speaks to us every week and he passes his Dad onto Ros for a chat. I won't ring Lewis in case Harvey or Julia answer the phone, I don't want anymore abuse from them !!!
Ros has got Stitchery do this evening for the women in the village who can't get to the meetings on Thursday afternoons. 6.30 till 9.30 pm . Lets hope a few turn up. otherwise it will be a waste of an evening for thje women who run it.
It might be a good opportunity for me to go for a pint of three.

I bet he was told by his Boss to call you Frank. He won't last long in that job if he is like he was with you with other customers. We have had Home Serve before for things.I can't really remember what for now but i think things water related. They were fine :-D.Yes long may it remain mild until Tuesday.Mind you I am finding it a bit too much today, especially when I was doing a lot of cleaning !There is hardly a breath of air out there either.
I am doing Pork Medallions tonight with some little pack of sauce(I think it is Mushroom and Sherry). It says to Pan fry.I was hoping to stick them in the oven .But never mind. Then New Potatoes and Roasted Cauliflower floretsI have sprinkled them with S&P and some dried thyme and oregano.Never done cauli like this before so I wonder what it will be like !! and Dwarf beans and Baby Carrots. Jess is arriving again this evening (she only left on Sunday lol),so James will cook for the both of them :-D
Frank you asked where Anglesey Abbey is .It is in a little place called Lode,Cambridgeshire just not far off junction 35 on the A14. Ann the NT volunteers were not too 'in your face'.They were just about right.I do know what you mean about some of them getting you in their clutches lol One of them was a bit like that at Canons Ashby and he got Chris :-D.I did the sloping off then and left him to it lol.I kept trying to catch his eye and pull faces at him .
Kim's daughter hasn't been too well this past week with a nasty Kidney Infection .But i think on the mend now.Baby is fine.Due on the 12th Dec.Poor Kim has been worried sick as she was scared it might have been pre eclampsia. But thank goodness it is not.
Ann what are you doing in your class at the moment?.I don't know if you said what. I hope you are feeling much better now and didn't have a big coughing fit in class :-)

What a nasty fellow who called on you Frank. You always seem to have the right answers though. Good on you to stick up for yourself. Hope you get sorted soon and the weather stays clement.
Been shopping to Holsworthy. Came home pounds lighter as usual, tired and fagged out. I had'nt had any lunch just a couple of small slices of garlic sausage as I made oh's sandwiches and toast for brekky with My Mate.
It started to rain a little here when I was in town and there has been quite a brisk breeze today so the washing dried ok and came in before I went out.
Roast chicken boneless breast for us tonight with probably rosti or chips. Can't be bothered with anything else but I have two nice big choc eclairs for dessert.

Glad the car stuff has generated a bit of interest - or in Mel's case, a whole lot of frustration! Ann, interesting about the white XK120, could be the same car, I don't that particular ones history but you'd have to know the registration to confirm that it's the one you were thinking about. I forget to mention that as well as the Thrust SSC, the previous giant record breaker that was driven by Richard Noble is also in the Motor Museum, That is a big beast as well. Frank, yes the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon is still there and always worth a visit as they have a some big display changes. It's not cheap, but your admission ticket does last for other visits during the same 'ticket year'. We watched The Great Fire but are not sure what we think of it, maybe not what what we expecting. We also hate all the ads Mel and try to record the commercial channels when we can. Tonight we shall be watching Channel 5, the drama about the Titanic. I've seen most of it before but Carmel hasn't seen it at all. I enjoyed it so won't mind watching it again.

I've just checked my emails and found a message that there was contact for me on British Genealogy, a site that I haven't visited for some time. The contact message was about my maternal grandmother and it looks like I may have found a family connection that I didn't know existed. I'm quite excited now.

William ,I went to bed to watch the Great Fire and missed a fair bit as I kept nodding off :-S.I often think the the first programme of a series like this can be a bit difficult to get into.So I will watch it again on Catch up and see what I think. I'm really getting into Peaky Blinders though....Goodness some of the murders and violence are so gory(but very realistic.) Mel ,I haven't heard 'fagged out ' since I was living in Plymouth :-D.Are you in for some wet weather tomorrow? It looks like it could be coming up your way :-S
James has just gone to pick up Jess from Northampton Rail Station.Poor old thing is so tired.I told him not to bother cooking the Duck and Stir fry tonight (which he had planned) and gave him some money to pick something up on the way back. I think our dinner is ready now.

Evening All,
Oh Frank, the silly man......they don't help themselves with what they say sometimes do they! I bet his boss was thinking that's another customer lost!! The 2014 Energy Customer Satisfaction Survey is here and BG come 16th out of 17.
http://switch.which.co.uk/energy-suppliers/energy-companies-rated.html
Mind you, Jane has been happy with their service and the one I have just switched to isn't far above them in the list! :-S My memorable experience with BG was getting an estimated bill from them when we didn't even have gas!! They argued and disagreed about it and wouldn't have it until they came and had a look!!!! lol. At least it sounds as if the weather is being kind to you for a few days which will help. You'll just have to have more cuddles to keep you warm!!!! ;-) ;-) ;-)
I think I did most of my coughing before I got to class this morning so, with my back up of cough sweets at the ready and a couple of hot drinks while I was there, I was ok which was good. We did a twisted wire and bead necklace this morning, similar to how we made the tiaras and I actually got mine finished at class. :-)
Then we went for a carvery at Ullesthorpe Court and on to my hospital appointment. The monitor had picked up extra beats and also one period of flutter, but the extra beats were within the normal range and the flutter was a benign flutter so of no concern. The consultant said people like me are more sensitive to hormones produced by anxiety/stress but my heart is fine. He took the trouble and time to allay all my fears really, which was excellent and brilliant! Appointments were running 40 minutes behind, but who cares when you come out happy and reassured when you need it. :-) It was good to see that a male nurse who was doing our BP etc checks, immediately sanitised his hands in front of us after he'd sneezed.
Jane, how fascinating the window of royal signatures is! It certainly was a novel idea wasn't it.
William, I was thinking that the chap I knew's name would be on the log book, but wondered if they would confirm it if I asked.........if only I'd taken a photo of Ronnie's car with the number plate. A feature I remember of the car was that at 130mph on the M1 the wing mirror would move!!! lol.
I see William and Fiona have made headway with their family trees! :-D It's always exciting when you find some new info!
Off to watch the Egyptian city below the sea prog I recorded now.

Ann that program was good. So many ships they found and some of the stuff was really interesting. I did'nt see all of it because my eyes kept closing so I still have a bit of that to watch.
Frank there is a new serise of Lewis on on a Friday night now. I am recording them so I can skip through the ads.
Two of you now have made new contacts on the family trees and I am now wondering who is going to be the third?

Morning all, Evening Kim,
Didn't go out last night, couldn't be bothered.
I have been meaning to ask YOU LOT. What can I do to get rid of indigestion under my Shoulder Blade. The pain is horrendous and if I sit back on a hard chair it feels like a Boulder is being pushed into my back. I have had it for almost a week, and tried sipping boiling water, Gavist## Andrew# indigestion tablets of various sorts. HELP PLEASE. !!!
I had a Younger neighbour call last night, I got him to get up in the loft and press the"" reset" button on the boiler. On came the Central heating and Hot WATER. This morning the boiler fired up on it's own. So fingers crossed, it will last over the weekend.
We had lots of rain last night, and this morning. I think it's stopped now, but doesn't look promising, and the wind is getting up !! OUTSIDE.
Jane I can just see the signatures on the windows How wonderful and will be there for ever.
I enjoyed the "GREAT FIRE" When a YOUNG MAN in the City, I often walked up the Monument during my lunchtime.
I have taken Ros and the boys there, with some friends, and they all went up. But I* knew quite a bit of the history of the GREAT FIRE so found it quite interesting.
How nice they we/you are still finding things out about your family trees. Someone on T.V. last night said she has gone back to the 1500 hundreds.
I SEE SHIRL ISN'T SLEEPING WELL, I ASKED HER HOW LONG HAS SHE GOT TO CATCH UP ON HER BEAUTY SLEEP. I BET I WILL GET A REPLY TO THAT :-D :-D :-
I hope Tony is going to the pub at lunchtime for the match. He can give me a lift both ways !!!

Morning/Evening All 'tis a right old dreary morning here and so dark.I think it might have stopped raining so I am off out for more food as Janice and Larry are now coming later today instead of tomorrow. They will stay here tonight.Larry rang earlier to see if it was ok for them to come today as he says Janice needs to get away.Whether it is for some peace and quiet or whether something is going on I don't know yet. So I'll be off and BB here a bit later.

Frank ask your doctor if you can have Omeprazole Gastro resistant capsules.
Oh and I have them. If they don't work it is not indigestion. You take them daily.

Afternoon all,
Bit on the dull side here today ,looks more rain now plenty of black clouds about .
Fingers all crossed that the boiler keeps going then Frank ,at least until you get some one to fit the new part , what a rude chap !! as Jane says i bet after the email you sent he was told to ring you and say sorry , carn't see him lasting long if he's so rude to people .
We've had BG ring to ask if we would like a Smart Meter fitted ,they are sending all the bumph in the post about them, anyone got one fitted ?
Oh dear i hope Janice is ok , must be very hard work having little William and trying to keep everyone happy .
They rang to say our new front door was made and ready to pick up so hubby has been to Norwich with son this morning to pick it up , it looks very nice, i had forgotten which one we picked out . So that's now in the shed ready for hubby to hang ,when he gets the time .
Sausages for tonight and i think i'll do a nice cheese and potato pie to go with them and baked beans ,or trumpets as the little ones call them :-D :-D

Trumpets :-D :-D :-D.I like it Mandy.How true.Maybe B Beans should be renamed :-D
Talking of that the wind is really picking up here.I nearly jumped out of my shin just now when 2 doors slammed.I have just cooked a big Turkey Breast and sliced it for tomorrow. It says it serves 8 but i reckon it will just do for 6 of us.In the morning I can peel the spuds and veg before Janice and I go out so there won't be too much to do. Not sure what time they will be here .I think early evening.I have bought Pork Steak leg with a spiced apple stuffing,Parmentier Potatoes and bags of veg to do in the microwave for tonight. The meat and potatoes are in foil trays so I can just bung them in the oven :-D
Janice just rang and they are just leaving so they all be here probably just before 6 .30.She sounds very croaky.I think she must be exhausted with work ,and having Michel and William.Even though she says they are no trouble. She comes home from work about 5.30 and William is beginning to get tired and tetchy ,then Mike comes in about 6 and all hell lets loose as William gets all excited and I think it is Bedlam until he goes to bed about 7.So I don't think she gets a minutes peace. She will think she is in heaven here :-D :-D.I just wish she could stay for a couple of days. Both her and Larry can just sit and chill.I won't let them lift a finger to do anything
I can't seem to get cool today. It is just sooooo warm.

I was wondering when the clocks go back, it won't be long I'm sure.
Thanks Mel/Jane. I have noted the capsules and will ring the Doctor Monday morning. I hope it's not the Gall bladder Jane, what will be the treatment for that ???
Still got the pain in my right side, under my ribs/shoulder.
Have a nice couple of days with Janice, and don't forget to spoil her. !!!
Either Chinese or Indian tonight, I will see what her Ladyship wants when she wakes up, she's been asleep for the pass two hours. But she will still sleep tonight even though it will be 1,00 am before she comes to bed. GREAT COMPANY ;-) ;-) ;-)
