Remember CB radio so well- I had one in the 70's - great way to try to pick up girls. I bought a new UHF one only last year for safety on long bush trips. (where mobile phones dont work)

You saying about bush trips Mick, reminded me of OH's cousin Peter who lives on Bribie Island off Brisbane, and he always goes into the bush and said that a CB was necessary for contact.......I remember seeing his 4x4 first time and there were 4 tube like things on the bonnet......I asked what they were for, and he gave some answer (can't remember now) but I found out that they were to hold his sea-fishing rods......he took us sea fishing last time on Edward Island? (anyway its the next one up from Bribie) with miles of long sandy beach.......and OH caught whiting, and more than Peter....lol......and the dingos came onto the beach to try and steal the fish....
