When I was younger we had CB and my parents used to tell me to get off of it in the evening as it was knocking the tv out used to get right hump about it..last night daughter was on msn told her to get off it as she was typing so hard on keyboard clicking noise was getting on my nerves think I'v turned in to my mum!!

dont know but made me feel old

or my daughter has the speakers on and 50 million windows open and all you can hear is ping ping ping...drives me mental...

yep thats anotherone ..a new one for use is her new boyfriends car the exhaust shakes the house when he pulls up...lol

I used to drive my parents mad on the CB...great fun tho...my 'handle' was Silver Sleeper.

my daughter and I used to park on the quayside at Largs in Scotland....

we had clear reception through to America and other countries..was great to chat away and hear each others news and accents.

i was banned from goin on eyeballs by me mum was a condition of me being allowed to have her cb

lasted about a week lol

sneaked out to meet some boys in the park they were 3 of us

thought we had it sussed till we got back and mam so how did your first eyball go

I had a CB radio, am not fm... it was ruined when the fm came in.

Whiled away the hours chatting to all and sundry.
It's a memory long forgotten :o))

my handle was Easter bunny and I have many happy memories of cb radio,meeting some very nice people and even starting a junior club for children which ended up more like a youth club lol

I was on the CB for many years both old AM and FM. Enjoyed the DX=ing side later when there were too many bucketmouths on the FM. Got QSL cards from all over the world. My handle was Tweety Pie and GW 01.
Met my other half on there and we have been married 25yrs this year.

This reminds me of the CB radio, people talking to each other and meeting up with others. I also met my hubbie on the CB and we are still together. I remember setting off my neighbours alarm every time I went on the AM radio, so I quickley put it away and went back to the FM one, lol.

Mine was Scorpion Girl and my hubbie was Pugwash, thats before he relised the real one was meant to be gay! lol

they sound familiar but was a long time ago lol

i was on their from bout 1993 to 2000

We were on it mainly mid to late 80's.
I think they are making a come back, neighbours over the back of me have one. Might have to get mine back out of the loft?
