Has anyone-else found their ancestor on there?

I don't think they have all been put up there yet but they are certainly up to the C/Ds

I found mine and Wow!! what a lot of confirming details I found, and lots of surprises too, Not all that was expected either.

One document I found was a letter from a Mother asking for details on a soldier as he was taking too much interest in her daughter. Her husband had died in the war ( name number and regiment supplied ) and she was having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that her 16 year old may be consorting with a married man. Eye opener that one was, lol

Where should I be looking???

I looked when I saw mention of this in a newsletter but couldn't find anything 'new'.

Is this separate from the pensions info?

it's British Army Service Records They are New and updated

http://content.ancestry.com/iexec/?htx=List&dbid=1219&offerid=0%3a7858%3a0

It does help if you have the service number but not necessary.....I found yet another address mine was living at. A verification of a half sister's birthdate of my fathers also of marriage and other places of abode etc.

There were abt 20 pages of info on My Grandfather.

I found my Dad and loads of info. I had discrepencies in his service record as he was in Army and Merchant Navy.

Joined Navy underage found out so joined Army seved with them until 1919 then rejoined Navy until 1923 and also had a stint helping in France with war graves. I believe he borrowed money to get to France to help build the cemeteries as he had lost so many friends on the Somme.

Found other rellies too. Able to print off their service records dads was 31 pages long! Also found he had been wounded and hospitalised.

I don't think they are Lynda. I tried the letter G and only came up with two people. I had also put in my Grandfather's details a couple of weeks ago and nothing came up. It was a pleasant surprise to have found him yesterday.
