I would say yes a 3 and a half would remember. I can remember my grandma and I was just turned 2 when she died - my sister says I imagine this memory - but I can really remember her. |

I personaly don't remember anything from when I was younger. But thats not to say others don't. My husband remembers his grandad who passed away when he was 4. My memories are limited to the last 10-12 yrs I am 28 now. Lynette xx |

I have vague lovely memories of my childhood, but something which happened to me when I was two stands out vividly. I had had a tonsil operation which somehow, had gone wrong, and I remember being given a bowl by a nurse and the blood flowing in. BCXX |

Yes at 3 and a half a child would have a strong memory of a trauma. I would have thought the child could have been frightened of dogs as a result. I was always terrified of water, and finally went to a hypnotherapist, I remembered in my subconscious that when I was two I had fallen head first into granda´s garden water butt. It helped put water into perspective for me. Oddly enough, my first conscious memory is giggling and being dried on my mam´s knee after a bath in the zinc bath infront of the fire, I also remember the whole outlay of the prefab house and whilst having the whooping cough, my granda pulling up the floorboards and finding flood water a foot deep there. I had my 3rd birthday in new house, but remember lots of things at age two. I have put all these memories down for my children. Hope this helps. Lanc witch tell us your prob. someone here may be able to help. |

Yes,I am sure that a child of that age would remember ,if not the actual event in detail, then the emotion it caused....... |
