When I still lived at home my mum had loads of antiquey ornaments. When they went out me and my sister were supposed to remove said ornaments and polish porperly, but we just used a big feather duster to go round them all and sprayed the polish in the air.
Mum always bragged what a good job we did!

Only problem now is I don't have ornaments (my mother put me off them!) so I have to dust, but still doesn't take long as nothing to move!

I just left 'em up and use the soft hoover attachment - its my way of cheating as I love clutter.

I do the polish spray thing, I can even fool myself.
Fold washing and leave in basket for approx 20 mins before hanging it out, was a top tip from Bella which actually does work, clothes usually don't need ironing.
I also throw things in the tumble dryer for 10 minute in leiu of ironing, in fact am proud to say the only time I've had my iron out for yonks was to iron on the name labels for the kids uniforms, well you didn't think I was going to SEW them on did you???

Dosent help the Sunday Papers have just banged through the door - Id rather sit back and read them but have outlaws over in about an hour .....

Ill spray lots of polish in the air - but think I really will have to shift pile at bottom of stairs hoover mop and sort out ironing :(

Half a Cup of Fabric conditioner in you water when you wash the floors. Either Lino or tiles makes the room smell really nice and puts s nice sheen on the tiles.

This one I have said before but when washing tiles in bathroom use exfoliating gloves with your favourite cleaner brings all the scum of so easily. Great for sinks in kitchen and laundry also. I keep a pair in bathroom and kitchen

I also make my own cleaner. This is great for bench tops, door etc. Into a spray bottle add1 part Fabric conditioner (Cuddly etc) I use 1 cup
1 part Meths a few drop of Eucalytus oil or whichever nice oil you like. Shake well before use.
it is also good if you spray it on a cloth and can wipe over wooden furniture in between polishes. Gets all the dust off instantly.

And if you can't be bothered with all this then just forget the housework and log into Genesreunited.

its strange but doing someone elses housework seems easier----------maybe we should swop and clean each others homes lol

lol - I do keep one of those window cleaner things hanging on the shower basket and wipe down the wall with it after a shower - stops the soap and water marks on tiles.

I always clean inside the lav with OH's electric toothbrush.......does wonders!!

My favourites are:- if the ironing piles up, to put it back in the washing machine, tumble dry, and some of it need not be ironed, and the rest as just right for ironing....

Leave the hoover plugged in, in the middle of the room......spray around the lavender polish and leave the duster out.....it looks and smells like you have been busy all day.....

I am not lazy.....just use these tips now and again when H***ew**k gets on top of me....

Well as Joan Rivers (I think) said, you dust and you clean and then 6 months later you have to do it all again!
BTW not a direct quote but thereabouts!
