You can take the whole drawer out - well I can on my Bosch. I wash it up once a month - but to be honest dont get much gunk. I link its because I use liquid?

And why do we have to wash bath towels? After all, we only use 'em when we are CLEAN!

Thanks all for your concern over my manky drawers lol

I take the drawer out, it's also a Bosch, it look's like something from the dark lagoon lol.

Bosch I know are known for getting bunged up at the softner bit.

Thats what i thought Liz all that water and soap powder and it's yucky.

mostly its fabric conditioner that makes the gunk. Also causes the pong eventually from the machine as it doesn't fully clear all the pipes. have a friend who is a washing machine engineer and he says fabric softener causes all sorts of problems especially the concentrated one,he thinks its better not to use it ,but we are in a hard water area and altho we have a water softener i still prefer the extra softened clothes

Try bunging your manky drawers in the dishwasher for maximum gunk removal.

This might be of use to you all especially Kitty :))

If you put a cup of soap powder in hot water you can get all the burnt bits off your casserole dishes soak overnight.
Or sprinke some over a burnt pot and leave it, it comes off easy.

Dee I have asked him time and time again but he never gets round to it lol

I was silly enough not to get a dish washer put in when the kitchen was done up.
Would mean big changes if I got one now.

Is it really safe to put the drawer in the dishwasher. I must be a dirty old trout because mine is usually manky (the drawer I mean )!
