At home with OH, like say you both been working all week, working just as hard as each other, yet there's housework to be done, recycling and allsorts of little jobs, and your just gonna leave it to see if he does it?

I have to be strong on this one ladies, cos right now I want to shove his computer where the sun don't shine.

Catherine....I do that sometimes, I get his mess, dump it on the floor on HIS side of the bed, clean mine up, make myself a cuppa and sit down.

One day I even ordered myself a takeaway...lol

Doesn't always work, but he usually gets the hint and shifts his carcase.

I have a recycling stand off! lol

We have to wash and squash our tins and plastic bottles and then put them in a plastic bag before we chuck them in the recycling bin. I keep the plastic bags just below the sink, but nobody puts them in apart from me. They just leave the mucky tins and bottles at the side of the sink and I refuse to do them. They don't half shift quick when I lose it though! LOL

I will say in his defence, he was brilliant when I came out of hospital, did all the housework (ok in 5 minutes, but it was presentable) all the cooking and washing. He refused to do the ironing, so wore creased clothes for a few weeks, but what the hell, I was stuck indoors anyway lol.

Thing is, now I can do it he doesn't go anywhere near the hoover...though he still cooks, we take turns.

thing is mine has always been great, but just lately and since we moved the business to home, he just can't walk away-the time he would have done stuff he is now still using it to work, think he feels cos his business partner has gone, he's got to prove himself- I can feel a massive silence coming on.

you see joanne I have OH and daughter that do that, I am the type of person that is very house proud as I'm sure most of us are, and I can't see things untidy, and they know this. I can understand my daughter,to a certain extent-Like the dirty clothes, if I didn't pick em up I wonder how long they would stay there, would you leave them?

I use OH money to pay someone to do the jobs he won't, but he freely admits that he would rather it was that way!

And he does work horrendously long hours.

Reminds me of some years ago - before I went to work I told the OH to: hoover, make beds and clean bathroom. Came home from work and everything I'd told him to do was done.......except the washing up was still piled high in the sink. Why haven't you done the washing up I shouted very crossly at him......cos I didn't know you wanted it done he replied! I won't go into what I said next!! LOL

Now and again Catherine....today I have a heavy basket of washing that has been ironed....I left it at the bottom of the stairs, together with his ironed shirts on hangers.....and what does he take up the stairs....the shirts.....I could have done that.......I took the heavy basket up myself....

I must admit on the whole he is a sweetie...
