Hi Rose,

No Mum died when I was 8, I then had step mummies 1 and 2. Everything that belonged to Mum or earlier was destroyed either by him or them.

My sister and 3 brothers all passed away and they had nothing anyway.

He even got rid of all the photos! Bloody hateful! Sorry but I am really bitter about this.

Sue (Sue Moffett that was)

Sue, sure you have tried everything but just wondered whether you asked for people to look at old photo's of the area your mum was from, whether someone might have school photos or similar?

Really wish I could help you!

I have my gran's wedding ring, which I wear every day. Makes me feel close to her somehow and I have been told by psychics that she watches over me. Also have my granddads pocket watch.

I have a silk embroidered blouse(a little yellow now,and too scared to try and whiten it).It belonged to my gran, and I have a portrait of her in it.
Must be over 100 years old.I wore it in the 80's to an OLde Tyme Music Hall.I also have one of her long underskirts.I treasure them both.
I also have a gold locket and gold gate bracelet, that I think were hers,as my mum had them, and they will be about the same age.
