More an unexpected dose of goodwill than a present....I had broadband problems on Christmas day and, not only did the Telstra engineer turn up, but he also admitted that it was their fault ( and the b******s never admit fault for anything in this country).Perhaps his wife gave him an Orgasmatron too?! On Christmas Eve I got an early pressy from the Inland Revenue. A bill (in error) for over £600. Wasn't that nice. They even wrapped it. After much phoning and swear words it's all sorted out but it was nearly bye bye xmas bonus again for the second year running. The oddest genuine pressy I got was a magnifying glass for reading maps when you're out traveling. hmm lovely

I got a handful of booze flavoured lollipops. Fine - except that set into each one is a REAL bug of some description! A scorpion, spider, beetle and a weevil thingy...all huge and apparently perfectly edible! Well would you suck one??? Dierdre X

Angela, You might be able to utilise the magnifying glass for FH purposes if you carry it around with you. (Records office, library etc.)

Nothing weird for me but our 9 year old grandson who has aspergers syndrome asked for and got a paper shredder!!! My B in L let him help at his house one day and he was hooked. He will sit for hours sorting into sizes then shredding through the machine, paper and envelopes. He has all the family saving paper now. lol

Like Angela, I too had a letter from Inland Revenue - they owe me 1p!!!! But how about this for a pressie - a signed photo of David Beckham. Being over 50 and not really into football, my brother says he never knows what to get me. Must admit I was chuffed. Nesta

Well, bug lollipops is the strangest yet in my book - yeuch!!!! For those that do not know, an orgasmatron is - rather difficult to describe! I'll think about it and let you know.

Typed it into search and got this, there's also a picture so you can see what it looks like. The Orgasmatron has been specifically designed to gently massage the pressure points located around the head, and back of your neck. It's made primarily from copper, and we found often that even a short massage will provide relief from headaches, tension and other pain. Due to its soft metal spines anyone can make the Orgasmatron work, the gadgets multiple prongs hitting all the right massage spots, and sending most people into paroxysms of delight as they titillate massage points on the scalp. Great for stress relief!!

Did you get one also, Peter?? lol We got a 'foldable lantern' from my M-in -Law. mmm Could end up with burnt fingers from lighting the candle, then trying to lift it together!

Trish

Trish Report 27 Dec 2003 07:33

Daphne, thank you for describing it, I thought I was going to have trouble there - never thought to look it up on the net (duh!). Hubby thought it would save him the job of massaging my head but no - I now get him to do it by using this doodah. It sits on my coffee table within easy reach - just remember to brush your hair before answering the door though!!!!!!!
