Collette has the snuffles so I am having a hot Lemsip as a precautionary measure. Anyone got their own favourite remedies?

Oh yes, the best is sloe brandy.... It dont taste like brandy funnily enough, but it does hit the spot. Hubby's home made soup is a great cure too.

She's having one as well, mine is just a precaution cos I don't want to catch what she's got.

A large brandy usually does the trick - it might not cure the cold, but you don't care that you've got it! Get well soon, Collette! CB >|<

Oh Grampa surely you know that you probably caught the same virus before wifey even knew she had it, so get plenty of tissues and enjoy the lemsip, Love xx

Sorry to hear that Collette isn't well. Have you thought of separate rooms as a preventative measure??!! Only joking, lol. Ecinnachea (not sure of spelling) is good for staving off nasty colds, etc. best wishes, Sue PS I'm visiting Fareham (mother) on Sunday, so will keep well away from your house!!!

Collette is not my wife and we have separate rooms.

Jim I wish Collette well again especially if she's feeling like I am. I also have the snuffles and it's terrible. I've taken the lemsip, Olbas oil, Vicks vapour rub as an inhalent, hot toddies - none of it's had the slightest effect so far, I think we're just going to have to ride it out. If Collette finds the antidote PLEASE can you tell me too. Best wishes Jan

Sue, where in fareham does your Mum live? I grew up on the west End Estate, off Redlands lane. I hope you haven't all caught my germs, i have been trying not to breath on the computer as I sit here. I have had my cough/cold over a week now and I am still coughing as if i have just smoked 40 cigarettes (idon't smoke at all!) Ann Glos
