Thank you all - we will probably see him Monday when he should return to normal ward and his immediate family should by then know the full story of his condition. I put diverticulitis on web last night and found things he should not eat. Basil will be sad but there is no way I can ever bake him another caraway seed cake! He loves them so and I bought a new box of seeds last week! He will just have to stick with all the other types of cake I bake. We are all booked to go on a narrowboat in 4/5 weeks time so hopefully he will be OK by then and enjoy it - this is a relaxing narrowboat - with crew and cook - all we have to do is sit, eat and watch the world go by slowly! I knew Linda wouldn't let him leave the girls yet. Bless her - I do miss her so. Ann |
