Seriously ladies, please do this regularly. I found a lump several weeks ago and to my complete relief it has turned out to be harmless. However, it might not have been and if I hadn't checked regularly I wouldn't have known and it could have been a different scenario altogether by now or a few weeks down the line. Daisy |

i agree daisy if anybody is like me then if i did find one i would probebly think.it probebly isn't and would not want to bother the doctor thinking that i would be wasting their time.but if it is a matter of life and death it is worth getting it checked even if it is nothingxxxxxxxxx(: |

My sister was 33 when she died from breast cancer. She had seen some puckering of the skin but thought it was nothing to worry about. It was months later that she found the lump. Within the year she was dead. So not only check for lumps but ANY changes. I have been to the doctor with lumps and seen a specialist only to be told it was breast tissue. Yes I felt daft but better daft than dead. Jane |

Hi Happy Wanderer, If you find a lump, you will probably know the difference!! I speak as someone who has a long history of breast cysts, which I had to have drained on a fairly regular basis. I also speak as someone who 5 years ago was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy and spent eight months having chemo and radiotherapy. However, two weeks ago I was told everything was fine and I didn't have to go to the hospital any more for check ups They did however, emphasise that I should still check my breasts regularly. jenny are cysts painful???the reason i am asking is that i have had a lump/cyst whatever it is on my neck for about 4 weeks now.if it was a strained muscle then it would have gone down but it hasn't .when i touch it it is painful.have made an appointment with my gp just to be on the safe side.glad that you have the all clear now and everything is ok.love and hugsxxxxxxx(: |
