And it wasn't nice. Was at my friends house to do something for her while she was out and the resident spook didn't seem to like me being there. Things got moved, the place was freezing and a little cough appeared every now and again. Most unpleasant. I lasted two and a half hours and then legged it. Hairs up on the back of the neck and even the dog wasn't happy. I ain't going there on my own again.

You're braver than me Wendy. I wouldn't have stayed around that long! lol

I believe there is more in heaven and earth than meets the eye. I don't agree with actively searching them out but I know they exist. Today was very frightening. I had a weird feeling almost like someone was kneeling on my chest and squashing the breath out. It was not a friendly spook. I told it to go away and it seemed to take exception to that.

They know something is there Rox but it has always behaved itself before now - just the sensation of someone walking behind you, that type of thing. Today it was unhappy.

Ganging up Len? I have to say this one didn't feel like the harmless one I've sensed there before - this was a nasty beggar. It really did shake me - it normally takes a lot to do that.

we have l;ived in our house for 20 yrs there is a ghost at top of stairs its a female ive seen her lots of times all four of our children know about her to. it doesnt bother them she comes down stairs at night walks past living room door and along hallway to kitchen dont know where she goes from there , she doesnt bother anyone, some of our friends get spooked when we tell them, but we like her its quite interesting because i would like to know who she is and what happened to her,

Well, my big sis has a nasty spirit in her house, i was not a believer until i babysat and SAW it for myself! weve had a medium in and she says it's very nasty.. we have burned joss sticks, prayed and stuff but it's still there! It sometimes turns the gas cooker on in the night and my sis wakes to the smell of gas, very scary! My mum had it pulling her out of bed, my neice has had it pulling her out of bed and i saw 'it' (a long light thing) float across the room right infront of me! I had one in my house not so long ago that actually left marks on my daughters arm, but it 'left' the night my uncle died, my daughter said the shiney man had scared it away! xx sleep well everyone! xxx lol

I would never make fun of any one who thinks they have a ghost as I have feelings and had weird things happen like someone talk to me and as I said last week my 6yr old felt some one pull his hand that was only thing that scared him as he has told me he heard some one come up stairs when no one there and some one climb in to his bed but after putting a thread on I took the advise and asked him not to frighten my 6yr old anymore, and my son has slept all night in his own bed.

Bendy I've been shot at, involved in motor crashes, laid out dead bodies, had punch-ups and been in all manner of scrapes in my short life. I know what fear is and my usual reaction to it; I am ok and competent at the time but tend to get the shakes after, which lasts about 20 minutes. I once went into an old, empty house and was having a look around when suddenly felt scared witless and felt my hackles rise. I can honestly say that I have never been so scared in my life and may have wet myself - and I was about 34 at the time. I knew there was something else in the room with me and that it was absolutely evil. I am not at all religious but 'crossed' myself instinctively and ran for it. I was recounting this to a friend, sometime later, who was well informed about such things, and was told that 'crossing' myself was probably what gave me breathing space and saved my bacon. Had I not gained a few vital seconds, he said, I would probably have been found dead later, of a brain haemorrhage or cardiac arrest, or completely off my head - and I wouldn't have been the first Len ps You may go to bed now.. .

Ive not been afraid since I saw a ghost.We was driving through the night on the M6 near Stafford on the unlit bit.When a man in dark clothing came from the central reservation into the beam of my headlights.I braked hard but to late and hit and passed through the apparition.The hairs on my arms and on my neck stood up, and my wife asked me why I had braked so hard was it the man in the road? We both knew then that we had seen a ghost. Davex

er thanks for that folks ! i am sit in my very old house, alone ! lol. BUT- i have 2 dogs- and no sign ever in the 6 years i have lived here , of anything ! but in my house before this, no dogs, but 2 cats, one of the cats used to 'watch' something go from one door in the house to another door ! then spit and do that awfull howling noise tom cats do- used to scare me to death ! in a really old house now- and thankfully, nothing !!! sue.

dave, LOL. did you report it? leaving the scene of an accident is a crimal offence. tut! tut! you could of been charged with, causing secondary death by undue care and attention LOL lynnxx
