My sister and I were always referred to as 'The Girls' and up until recently I was Rebecca to my mother. My brother was called 'Gavin Pikelet _____' when he was younger because he used to love Pikelets... lol

Geri,My brother Alan had a chum called Frankie. We never knew him as anything else.One morning my brother came home without his eyebrows and there was a riot.Later that day a woman showed up with Frankie explaining about what had happened. My mother was ranting and raving about Frankie being a so and so .This woman was saying that Martin was only horsing around.Mother was shouting 'it wasn't anybody called Martin, it was Frankie, wasn't it you Frankie?''yes it was me miss and I'm sorry'. 'There you go' says mother.'He just told you it was him so why stand there and blame some other wee lad?'The woman looked at her and said,'This is Martin' 'No it isn't thats Frankie' 'It is Martin, we always called him Frankie because he looked like Frankenstein' says the woman. Well the laughs out of us was nobodys business. Frankie was mortified and his aunt wasn't amused. Hop-a-long.

When i met my husband to be. His name was Frank. We had been going out for 6 months when I was summond to tea with with his parents. His mum kept saying....John this John that.... I asked Frank 'who the hell was John?' He said thats me~~ The Frank name was from his apprentiship days.....short for Frankinstien!!!! I never could get to grips with calling him John so called him Dad. Still do lol Divorced Frankinstien three kids later lol but best of friends now. He even spent last xmas day with my partner and me lol Gerri (when good) Geraldine (when bad) lol

I have had a list of names. My granny cried when she heard I was to be called Elizabeth.So, to shoosh her up,my daddy called me Lily after her.When I was going to the disco,my buddy Big Patricia,called me Legs after Lily Legs in Blazing Saddles.When I went to drive a bus,all the instructers called me muscles.That was because I was small and petite by the way!! My older lads now call me stumps and thats because they are now taller than me.Me ? I call myself Hop-a-long,thats because I have sore legs. HOP-A-LONG.

I have 3 Christian names they are Nicola Marie Anne - My Mum used to call me Ninna Marie as a child, can kind of understand that, however, my younger sister is call Kelly Anne Catherine - known to Mum as Tildy Jane - work that one out?!!

My eldest is called JJ cos his name is Jack Jones (wanted to call him Zac but Hubby stopped me) Second is La la cos her name is Lana and she loved tubbies at the time, And either Eli or Elvis (answers to both) cos his names Ellis! Stel.xx

My youngest sons name is Thomas, but we call him Tombola. My middle daughter ,we call Littley, as before the last 2 were born she was the babe, it just stuck. Shirley Ann.

My Girls are called... Charlotte....Lotty Dannielle...Dannie Michaela...Mickie Kacey....topsy...dont ask...lol

My eldest is called Ian (after my brother who died) but I don't particularly like the name and rarely use it - unless he is in trouble! He is called Jonah and Joe. My youngest boy is called Luke and causes many funny looks on the football pitch; I call him Loui, his dad calls him Jonesy and his big sister Aimee occasionally forgets herself and calls him baby, much to his disgust (he is 9 after all). I have just about rid myself of the habit of calling him LuLu!! Sixteen year old Aimee is sometimes called Psychobitch, leave that to your imagination!!

For a while there we called my youngest sister 'metric' -- she was the youngest of 10 and Australia had just gone to the metric system -- units of 10 rather than 'cheaper by the dozen'.

My daughter gets Kebs, which she hates, when she was born I thought you couldn't shorten Dona, but her uncles called her 'kebab' and it got sortened to 'kebs'. The boy gets Sparky, Dude, and Razor Blade (as he's so sharp he'll cut himself). Bilal calls me Mavis, and I call him George (just to boost his ego a bit more as he thinks he looks like the Clooney man..lol..) Mx

Shauna is Hun - as in Honeybun, not Attila the! - and Alan is Pongeroozel, for reasons I'm sure you can work out! He's not happy at bedtime until I've said 'Night Night, Pongeroozel' - don't know why, lol. (We've been tempted to affectionately call Shauna 'Freckles', but as she hates freckles (I have them but don't hate them!) we don't).

hi bacause my little boy was so big when he was little we called him sumo sam,then boo-boo( cos he kept saying it) now samuel at his request even though if he is grumpy i do call him victor (meldrew). my little girl is just like the little girl in monster inc so we call her boo. shirley( nickname whirley)

My youngest (19) is nicknamed Felix by my dad (91!) because he comes and goes like a cat. Eldest boy is called 'Spanky' by my husband and I - something to do with grandad again. Boy used to wear grandads old peaked cap when he was a toddler (wouldnt be without it). Grandad said there used to be some sort of film series called 'Spanky and his gang' in the 1930's and the kid who was leader of the gang (Spanky!) always wore an old peaked cap.

Eldest is Kerry AKA Kel, Kel Bel, Smell, her second name is Louise so when she was little she said it as Kerry Wheeze LOL which we changed to Kerry weasel... unfortunaly the weasel bit stuck and she is still known as weasel/wease!!!! Then come the the twins Luke and Nathan collectively known as Horice and Doris.. No idea why and not a particluar name for either or simply known as the boys ( and the funny thimng is everyone know i mean just the twins and not ben when i say the boys) Luke AKA Pukes (cos he used to a lot!!!) Dukes cos it rhyms with Puke but sounds better LOL or smiler. Nathan AKA Nath or Nuts. Youngest.... Benjamin AKA Little man, mitghy midget and more recently gapster ( cos he has several teeth missing) and when they are playing me up i have several names for them ALL too rude to put on a public board!!!!!!
