Hi Heather... Thought the phantom nudger was at work....!! Sorry, yeah, he spent a long while in intensive care & slowly regained his speech...at the moment, he is still paralysed down one side but Dr's are hoping it's a trapped nerve??...Im not sure if he is still in hospital or recovering at home. I think Im right in believing that when they operated to relieve the pressure around the brain they discovered he had a tumor....this itself has prolonged his recovery..... Thats all I know so far........ Julie :) |

If the story about the tumour is correct, then this accident was a blessing in disguise, as is often the case. Do hope the lad makes a full recovery. |

Best wishes to little Alex. I shall be showing this thread to my son later. He's 12, and luckily wears a cycle helmet, but he's recently started taking the helmet off in front of his mates, and doing stunts on his bike. Needless to say, Bob and I are worried in case he has an accident. As has already been said, this accident appears to be a blessing in disguise, at the discovery of a tumour. Poor kid, I hope he makes a full recovery. x |
