I cant se how. How are you accessing them ? via your normal e-mail message link or direct thru GR once onto the site? (or do you not mean GR messages?)

Are we talking about once you are on site? how do you know if an e-mail has been opened? If you are linking to your GR mesages from the alert message in your normal mail box, then it will open automatically

Hi Lisa.... You're worring me now...lol Report it to gr anyway but I cant see how as you've changed your password recently & havent told anyone what it is....if it is someone 'hacking'...why target you..?? I'm sure its just one of those wierd things that happen on here....sometimes I notice old contacts re-appear on my contact list months after they were deleted.....cyberland is very technical but Im sure it has its 'blond moments' too. Sure this sort of thing was happening a while back, somebody on here did it on purpose to prove that it could be done.

I found if on your normal emails if you open a message from Genes re contact, when you go to Genes site the 1 new message sign is'nt there,so next time you get an email from Genes dont open it just go straight to Genes and it will say 1 new message Gwen

Louise Report 4 Sep 2005 23:32

Julie Report 5 Sep 2005 09:17

Eliza.... Sorry I should have added they reappear without having recent contact with them....no mails to or from them. Also...on occassions ive found that people have mailed me on gr but it hasnt shown up on new message or in inbox....I only discover I've had a new mail when I get the alert in outlook.....then I have to find it under the senders name in my gr contact list.....very strange!!

Hi Lisa. It is possible that someone could have access to your GR account. I had to report to GR a couple of weeks ago, that I has suddenly got access to a new contact of mine. I did get a reply from them saying they were looking into it. But have not heard from them since. If I wanted to, I could be this person and post on the boards as someone else. I could read the emails they have received and sent. But I am not that kind of person. What I cannot understand is the fact that this member is not a (Full member) and was able to send messages to me and I could to him. In my email to GR I mentioned the Data Protection Act. Please get back in touch with GR. They really need to issue you with an new account. But be aware that you could loose all your contacts and messages. Jenny.

I'm as baffled as the rest of you, but I would suggest deleting cookies and temporary internet files. If you have programes that remember your passwords, turn them off. Have you got up-to-date firewall and spyware software? No guarantees this will help with your problem, though.
