I am going to have a really bad few days tomorrow (Monday) I have to take our little dog to the vet for the last time she is 17 nearly blind & deaf but she has been having mini seizures & I cant get her to eat I have tried all her favoutites but she won't eat I had her to the vets a week ago & she had a couple of injections to give her an appetite.I have only had her for 7 years as she was my sisters M-I-L's dog & she died suddenly so I got her poor little thing was is a bad state not looked after properly a lot of allegies & left outside all the time sleeping in a shed with the lawn mower & fertalizers she was a real mess now she is so spoilt & has a beautiful golden coat (SYDNEY SILKY)at least I know that she has had a good home with us.Not looking forward to tomorrow. Tuesday John goes into hospital for a dilatation on his throat if every thing goes well he will be home Thursday,last time I took him in for this to be done he fell of the bed & got a crushed fracture of in his back & spent 3 weeks in there instead of a couple of days. So you can see why I am not looking forward to next week. Love Cilla Thank you all for your positive thoughts. Tiny went very peacefully she had another seizure last night & was only semi concious so I know that she didn't suffer I also know that she is at peace now but it still hurts as she slept with me sat in my chair (sorry I shared her chair) so everywhere i went she was there.Next hurdle is John I will be making sure that they keep the sides up on his bed so there are no more accidents. Will keep you updated Love Cilla xxx Took John to hospital didn't get home until late he wasn't very happy as he is not well at all. He goes into theatre at 8;30 so it will be over early & he can sleep the rest of the day I will keep you updated on how he went,I am off to bed now goodnight all. Love Cilla I picked John up from hospital today but i wasn't able to talk to the doctoes so I don't know whether the dilitation was successful,he isn't very well tonight so i will have to wait & see how he is tomorrow. Tomorrow is my day to see the specialist for post op report on my knee the end of a rotten week but it can only get better (I hope) Cilla

My heart goes out to you Cilla. It's so difficult taking our pets to the vets for the last time. You know you are doing the kindest thing you can. I shall think of you tomorrow. Luv Jo. X.

Oh Cilla i will be thinking of you!! Try and keep smiling, im sure things will be ok. I remember when i had to take my pet to the vet's for his last trip it was when i was 10 and i got him when i was 3 that was really hard even my mum couldnt stay strong. So that one isn't going to be very easy but think of how it is better for him. xx

Will be thinking of you Cilla. Awful job you have with your little dog. Just 2 years ago since I had to decide with our little Cindy she was 13 I will never forget her face seems as if she knew but she was so poorly. Just think you gave her her last years in a wonderful home. Hope you husband goes on well at the hopspital. What a week we will all be thinking of you. Germaine x

Thank you everyone I have got her (Tiny) tucked up in my bed at the moment with our other rather large dog on the end of the bed watching over her. I forgot that on Friday I have to go back to the specialist for a check up for my knee which is still very sore. I really needed all you hugs. Love Cilla xxx

Cilla, that is so much to bear on your shoulders. Could the vet not come to your home? That made it much easier for us when he came to put one of our cats to sleep a few years ago. You've given your doggy a secure and loving home for the past 7 years, and she knows she is very much loved. Good luck, and with hubby too. And your knee.
