Know what you mean, Donna! Sorry to hear you're suffering. It's taking hold with me now - all my old joint injuries seem to flare up when I've been overdoing things, then I'm hobbling around for ages till the pain subsides. I don't know how I've managed all these walkabouts with Gaynor Bear, but they are beginning to take their toll, so I'm glad of the rest now she's with other people. Hope you're free of pain soon. Ooh that sounds bloody horrible! I have the onset of arthritis in my hips but it only plays up every couple of months. Was listening to (please don't tell anyone) Sara Kennedy on radio 2 this morning and she said they are bringing out pain relief patches for arthritis sufferers. Apparently one patch lasts 7 day and keeps you relatively pain free! Don't remember anything else about them sorry! Julie xxx

I know just how you feel . I am only 48 and have had it for about 10 yrs. I have arthritis in my back and left hip and knee.I also take Celebrex and Amitriptyline. Yes the tablets do help with the pain but it never realy goes away does it? My husband is in a wheel chair due to corroded bones in his back and he has a cordial epidural every 6 mnths but the injection is very painful to have and is dangerous if they don,t get it exactly right. as it can damage the nerves to the spine .. Keep your chin up . Have you tried a TENS machine i find that works better for me . Cath

I had Rheumatoid Arthritis when I was 36 and have suffered from it ever since. I am now 77!! so I can feel for you. In those days, Cortisone by mouth was the treatment and, although it was very effective, the side affects were horrible and it has also affected my whole life, but I don't think it is used now. I believe Glucosomine is good and I have bought some but the capsules are too big for me to swallow, so I haven't tried them yet.I try to watch what I eat because some of the things that bring on the pain are: Strawberries, Oranges or Orange juice and Tomatoes. I hope you are not in too much pain at the moment. Take care. Love from Sylvia XX

I think the change in weather must make it worse as i have OA hands and big toes and they have been playing up the last few days. The only painkillers they tell me to take dont really work co-codamol. I,m only 40yrs also. Star
