Yes there is Lisa. I've been so desperate for my Mum to send me some kind of sign, just can't think how else this could have happened, & she has done it cos she knows how unhappy I am this first Christmas without her. Joan xx

joan you do get signs...i believe in what your saying .when my friend in 2002 i should have visited three days before she died.it was the day of her anniversary and i felt i was doing the right thing by not going.it wasn't and had a lot of guilt and sadness after that.she visited me in a dream when i wanted to go into her house and she said i couldn't and she closed the door, then in spring i had daffoidils growing in the garden..been there four years and they never grew i had dwarf daffodils on one side and big daffodils on the other.they were the flowers i used to take here when she was ill at home. i also lost a dear friend to me and my brother on the 18th december last year through cancer at 37. i never went to his funeral due to work commitments because he wasn't family.his funeral was christmas eve i was very upset about this.then a few months ago i dremt it would snow woke up and on my dresser chair was a receipt dated the 24th december at 11.07am.when his funeral took place. the reciept was from a store my hubby went to when he took my family to the funeral minus me.i asked him if he had put the receipt on there and he said he hadn't all his receipts were in his wallet and he didn'ttake it out. i think you are right when we suffer pain and heartache they do pick up on it and gives us signs to say they are ok.when we recieve these signs it can give us some comfortxxxxxxxxxx((((:

YES I DO Have had too many experiences not to think something there. One was after Mum died & before her funeral. was very weird & yet not frightening, Wont go into details but I know something was up. I have been to The spiritualist ass of Grt Britain in London for a reading & again the things that came out were so true. No info was given so know that I wasnt conned. Plus have had a visitation from the previous tenant of the house we lived in in SE London. Lots & lots of things have happened with no logical explanation so I do think something is there tho on another dimension. Shirley

shirley i had a weird experience the other week.took the main light bulb out of our bedroom as the upstairs light had gone...tested the lamp just to make sure it was working.which it was.hubby came in and i warned him he'd have to use the lamp only for him to shout up there wasn't a bulb in the lamp.it had vanished even though i tested the light and switched it off.that was strangexxxxxxxx(((:

Joan Look up Tracy Blackburn's thread 'Life after death - does anyone believe'. It a very long one and to read it all, after the first 15 or so pages you will have to click on 'latest first' to read the remainder. The topic is examined in some detail. Len

An Olde Crone

An Olde Crone Report 9 Dec 2005 22:39

I used to think this was all utter tripe but something happened that has me HALF convinced. This is a bit longwinded, sorry. I was never close to my father but in recent years, as he got older, he would ask me if I believed in an afterlife. We discussed it, I said NO, but said jokingly, well, when you get to the other side, if there is one, give me a sign. He laughed a bit and said 'I'll phone you'. He died suddenly and for various stupid reasons, I was not there. I felt very very guilty as I knew how scared he was of dying. A year later, one of my daughters, who had been living abroad when Grandad died, came home and said she wanted to visit his grave. We arranged to stay overnight in a Travel Lodge and combine it with a shopping trip (LOL). When we got to the Graveyard, they had cut down the hedge and some trees and I could not remember where he had been buried - the headstone was not yet in place. It was absolutely freezing, a howling gale, and after a fruitless search we put some flowers on each of the recent graves. I said 'Sorry Dad, we can't find you, got to go now, its freezing' Off we went and shopped. We went to bed in the Travel Lodge and I fell asleep immediately. Sometime later I was jerked awake by the phone ringing by my bed - no-one there, just crackling. It rang again and then a third time. Absolutely awake by this time, I phoned reception and asked what was going on. The Receptionist said no-one had rung my room, all calls routed through her and she had not put any call through. I was unable to get back to sleep and was so restless and uncomfortable that I got out of bed and spent the rest of the night in the chair. Next morning, my daughter, who had slept through all this, said, what are you doing in the chair. I told her about the phone ringing, she said, yeah, I thought I heard it ring, what time was it? As I had looked at the clock the third time it rang I was able to tell her it was exactly 12.27. We looked at each other. That was the EXACT time of death on my father's Death Cert, and it was exactly a year to the day. I think it was Dad, ringing to say Thanks, for going to the grave in such terrible weather, and also to tell me off for being so stupid as to not remember where he was buried! Olde Crone

Yes I do, and like you I lost my Mum this year. She hasn't come through to me yet, but her parents (my Grandparents) are often with me, and I always feel when they are near. I was annoyed with my Mum before she died, and feel that I am maybe blocking her from coming through. Granny

Joan of Arc(hives) Report 9 Dec 2005 22:48

Oh Granny I am so sorry. I'm sure your Mum knew you weren't really angry with her. My Mum waited until I had left her side before she passed, i'm certain she didn't want me to see her go. She also spoke a lot about her Mum & Dad just before, so I do hope they were there waiting for her. Joan xx
