No I don't - I used to hope, many years ago, for a 'sign' from my Dad who died when I was 18. Nothing, and now I don't worry about it - am more concerned with the here and now. |

I am sorry but I think and this is my belief we just don't died and that is the end, my dad died in 1999 and when he went there was a weird glow off his body and when we cremated him I cried but since I haven't as when I am sad or wishing he was still around I get this cold feeling all around me and I feel it is my dad giving me a hug, I have cried once for him and no more as he is with me when I need him like he always was. I also think you we all get signs but we have became cynical and that is why we don't see them |

I believe in reincarnation, and spirits. But I think 'Spirits' are more of a recording, rather than and actual dead person walking about! However if someone was to recieve a message from a loved one it would be their 'living memory' if that makes any sense. Does that make sense? |

I recently had an e-mail from someone who has left our village but used to live nearby. The gist of the message was: 'Len, you have lived in that estate since it was built 35 years ago - do you know if it was on the site of a cemetary ? A friend of mine has just moved into (name of road) and she says it is haunted by a tall lady who speaks to my little girl and says she is cross' I replied 'No, it was the site of an orchard. but was the house number 9?' Karen came back immediately and said 'Len, you must be psychic - how did you know and so fast? The answer was that I knew a couple who lived in that house. Robbie died and Yvonne lingered on for years, gradually becoming more and more reclusive until she was sectioned and removed to a home where she eventually died. It was a good guess on my part. I was given the name and phone number of the present occupant of the house and got a good description of the ghost and it obviously was Yvonne who still felt possessive about the place but could only materialize to the child. She was cross about the alterations they were making to the house but not at the little girl. Len |

My first husbands Grandmother died while I was expecing my first child. She was looking forward to seeing him, so when he was about 3, he was talking to someone whilst in bed. he said it was an old lady, and he described his Gt Grandmother to a tee. We were told by a Spiritualist later, that she just wanted to see her little lad. Granny |

Research in Sweden and verified in England finds that about 20 per cent of the population can detect electro-magnetic pollution 'leaking' from power cables. It usually gives them headaches, causes depression or just makes them feel unwell. If psychic phenomenon exists, it is likely to be some subtle form of electro-magnetic radiation and, if so, there is every reason to expect that a certain number of people (less than those affected by power cables) would be susceptible to and able to detect it. len |

I have never had a message from 'the other side' and I don't believe in it. I am not sure people believe what they want to believe either. I would love to hear from various people who are dead. It just hasn't happened. But I do believe that we have powerful thoughts and have had telepathic experiences with living people. nell |

Have told this story many times - I have always believed that there is something more after our bodies fail and die. I went to see a Medium at our local Spiritualist church several years ago. She was from London and had someone with her who would draw who she saw while the other woman was talking and passing on messages. I had never met these women and no one knew I planned to attend. I went because it was close to my late daughter's birthday date and I had a hope that they might have a message from my baby grown up in the spirit world, and a picture might be drawn of her. After several others had received a message and picture, my dad tried to come through but someone else came through stronger over him. Then the women said there is a lady here who always looks serious and likes to wear a hat. I immediately thought Oh Mum. They got my Christian name right, and told me some of the things my mum was suffering from and that she had had a budgie. They then said You (me) are doing a lot of cleaning lately and will you stop polishing the step at the top of the stairs. Well I had been helping a friend who had gone back to work and I used to clean her small terraced house. She had stairs that went up the middle with wooden white painted thresholds either side at the top into the bedrooms. In her room, she would often spill coffee on the threshold and sometimes I would get a sponge and wash it off, others I would put some polish on my duster and polish it off. One day I slipped after I had polished it and decided I had better not do that again. This was exactly what my mother was telling me and I had not told a soul (pardon the pun) so the message just confirmed what I had thought for a long time - our loved ones are still keeping an eye on us even after they have gone. When I went to collect the picture of her the woman said to me Wow you are just like your mother and I am - it is like looking at mum when I look into the mirror. |

I can believe Paul when he say he has difficulty sending messages here. Helen, if you believe in powerful thoughts and telepathy (known scientifically as 'distant intentionality'), why is it so hard to believe that consciousness may operate outside the limits of the brain? How do you suppose that telepathy works? len |
