When I was at school i used to dislike my name, I always thought of it as being too long and posh. I love it now, It means Aristocratic/Noble. What is my name?..........Patricia aka Trish.

To the two Pauls. Sorry to say i agree with you! Paul, like John is very boring!.....no offence.Although I'm sure you'r not..boring, that is.

Trish is OK, and of course you have the option of Pat or Patricia. With Paul, you're just Paul, not much you can do with it. Zeus would be a bit tw*tty Paul.

I did a 'pick a new name for me' thread a year or so ago... we ended up picking Levi.

I hated my name at school. I was THE only one with it, and it rhymed so beautifully with BANANA, PIANA (O) and a few more. I like it now though. Deanna banana piana............ X

Don't really like my name but I'm stuck with it. My parents decided to name me Rachel but everyone shortend it to Rach, which I hate. I only ever liked my name said in welsh (roughly - Ratchel).

hate it, hate it, hate it!!! My name is Kim and I always got: 'I've got a dog called Kim' - yeah, thanks for that one . Don't know what I'd rather have, I think very few people are satisfied with what they're called aren't they? Kim!!!

I dislike Paulo intensely. I am *not* Italian. and Pablo, and Paulus, which Ive also been called. Deanna - we had a Deanna at school, nice girl if I remember right ...and when I say nice, I mean good looking lol

What were you going to be called if you were a Girl/Boy. I was going to be called Casey... eurgh!

I like mine!!! always have, it was an unusual name in the 60s when iwas growing up, but its much more common now , I blame 'the Police'!lol, and the film.:-)))

I do like the name Rachel though. My niece is a Rachael, as is Sharons cousin... the funny thing is, they were born 3 days apart, in the same hospital, and Sharons aunt and my sister knew each other from school, saw each other in hospital, and ended up picking the same name. Spooky.

If I had been a boy I would have been called Frederick after my father.

If I'd been a boy the odds are I'd have been Owain (O-wine, Owein) which is my brothers name, but mam and dad didn't decide on my name until after I was born. If my brother had been a girl he would have been Lucy Kathleen - that was being kind as he cold have been Ida Hilda / Hilda Ida, not the best names for a 15 year old.
