Lucia you made me giggle BUT I did say 'they can take whatever they can use' - I know my liver will be pickled by then so probably they'll leave that alone and the lungs won't be touched but they can have other bits if they want!! :O) |

see another reason why there should be no smoking..what if someone really needed an organ and they were all mingy smokers' ones? sorry I was trying out my scare tactics that I use to try and persuade people to quit |

Don't forget folks - you can have a donor card but ultimately the decision is that of your next of kin. |

Yes I am and I have been since I was 7. Most of my mum's imediate family is as my cousin has had 2 kidney transplants in his life. - the first when he was 4 and the second last christmas aged 20. |

All my family know I want to have my organs donated and mum is my next of kin and dad is hers, so we're just about covered. I think having a cousin that needed a transplant, makes you reallises your own mortality. All the family have said they would be living doners for my coz but he has refused to let us do it. I will take this oputunity to thank everyone who has released their loved ones organs for transplant, the gift you have given other families like mine is so emence that we could never repay the debt. |
