I've got a Epsom printer that keeps telling me I am not using genuine cartridges (although when i actually bought them online I did think they would be) and it looks like it is using all the colours to get black instead of using the alternative one...... printers are far too clever these days for their own good!! :O) |

Thanks Sheila, I know what youre saying, but I didnt ask for original HP products as I am already using them just at cheaper prices, I think someone got my words wrong & thought I was using cheap copies, but now someones got the hump with me & guess what its the opposite sex. |

macksmedia sell HP cartridges - a lot cheaper than some places - and they have a very good reputation. THAT was the reason they were mentioned as you had said you wanted HP originals. Depending on your present PC's capabilities it sometimes IS cheaper to change the full thing - but often adding extra RAM etc yourself cures a lot of problems like the one you are experiencing. One of the members who has given you some suggestions on this thread actually talked me through physically adding a new drive to my first PC - and I had never done that before. It is a lot cheaper if you buy the component and install it yourself. |

Hi James, My mums got the same & she has never had a dodgy one, been paying a few pounds for them for ages now, she saves more money, & they are HP cartridges. |

I have tried cheap refills and Cartridge World but unless you are lucky then they do not print all that well, the HP uses a special print head that seems to clog when it is refilled. James |
