Daniel, you say he will never see service? Prince Andrew did, in 1982 he was involved in the Falklands war and was one of the people who rescued service personnel when the sir Galahad was hit in a argentine air strike. Roy |

if Harry sat on his laurels and did nothing people would slag him off. Instead of which he has joined the Army and yet he is still being slagged off. Poor chap can't win. I'm proud of him and I sure his mum would have been too. Claire |

Claire, me too, and if his regiment are sent to iraq then he will go and their will be no special treatment for him, he will have to go and do what every soldier out the has got to do without question. The army may still have a class system, (officers and other ranks) he will be treated the same as any officer their. Roy |

Well done Harry you have done well. Im sorry to whoever mentioned harry going to iraq but i disagree. They will not allow the 3rd in line to the throne to fight in the war, if they do they will be taking a hugh risk. What if he is captured? then they really will have a bargining tool , but no government gives in to terrorism remember, so what do you do? get him out or let him die? If they went for the getting out option that wouldnt be fair in my book as we all know and its the same everywhere that we dont let these pigs win, but somehow i cant see the queen and his father saying oh well we dont give into terrorism we will just wait for news on when hes dead. My husband is in the army and has done his tour in iraq i knew full well that if he was captured that i would never have seen him again but i knew all this before i married him and i also understand that we dont give in to terrorism no matter what the circumstances. So its a case of whether the the Queen and his father and the government are willing to allow this and somehow i dont think they are, i do believe he should be given a fair shot but i also understand that if he went you can bet your bottom dollor they will try every which way they can to get their hands on him and that puts unneccesary pressure and worry on our country. Sorry for the ramble Kelly |

Fair play to the lad for joining the Army. However, my attitude is that when this Country declares war we deserve to be led by our Leaders. There has been enough of The Powers That Be sitting in Bunkers in England and sending the Common People to be cannon fodder. I bet that we would not be at war with Iraq if Bush and Blair had to be in the Front Ranks. |
